Minnesota Vikings No Playoffs(or no playoff win)this year for the 'Boys

I am sorry cowboy fans to disappoint you, but it doesn't look very good for your team. I don't think they'll make the playoffs this year because they just aren't clicking this year. I hope they prove me wrong, because I do love the cowboys, however, I think I'll be right about my predictions. If they make the playoffs(which is a slim chance) they won't win a game.

Go Vikings!!!!! (love number 4)

They do. But they'll end the season 3rd amongst their own division. Looking at other potential wildcards across the NFC, there's a serious lack of competition. I think Dallas will have to end up with a better record than the Falcons to secure the last wildcard spot. It'll end up like this I think:

Division winners:

Giants
Vikings
Saints
49ers

Wildcards:
Eagles
Falcons or Cowboys (or possibly Bears)

Crazy game. Anyone with the sort of foresight it would take to start Austin on their fantasy teams must feel like little Nostradamuses.

yea with are wr's you could make a case for him being are #1 thats how sad are wr's are.i know today he'll never do again and to tell you the truth hes probably a # 3 wr at best on most teams but atleast he has some speed and pretty good hands a combo none of are other wr's have. roy was a waste of a 1st pick, crayton is a mockery and hurd just rarely performs. i hope during the bye week we pick up either harrison or matt jones its worth a shot they cant do any worse. on another note romo looked great today but he needs more weapons. lets get marion totally healhty again lets get felix back and lets pick up a wr these next two weeks and we should be good to go. LETS GO COWBOYS BABY WE AINT DONE YET

I've got a few changes I would make at the bye week.

I'm leaning towards firing Wade Phillips....I said leaning not real heavy on it tho. His defense has given up some bad drives at the worst times... So far even though the offense has had some bad games they are still the #1 offense in YPG with a top 5 running game. So I agree with some critics and say elevate Jason Garrett to head coach to see what he can do with the remainder of the season. In firing Wade Phillips we lose our defensive coordinator so we'd need a replacement there and I'd move either Dave Campo or Dat Nguyen up to be D coord.

In addition to those changes I'd make changes in the lineup. I'd move Barber down to the closer role again, maybe start him on the first series to get the tempo going or just to get him the "start" and then let him be the closer in both goal line situations and in the 4th quarter. I'd also move Austin into the starting lineup and hope the magic is consistent, keep Roy Williams your #1 make Austin your #2 and move Crayton to the the #3 slot. I'd mix it more blitz in the defensive playcalling and i'd play more zone/double-man in the secondary to make up for it.

Those are just a few changes but I think those are necessary.

i agree 100 percent with firing wade but i dont think garrett is the answer. i guess giving him the rest of this year is fair though but i hate his playcalling and just dont know if he's any better then wade. also i agree 100 percent we gotta blitz more we need to get pressure so maybe we can finally get some turnovers, i think are gameplans are way to conservative we gotta take more chances. we have the talent we dont have the coaching

RE: Austin... He has yet to play a real role in the offence. Though it was a huge game, lets see him do it now that teams know he can play... I maintain that Romo has a shaky time in there and if he doesn't put up, he should be gone... There were tons of bad passes in there this week. Over throwing everyone. Had Austin not broken loose as often as he did, his numbers wouldn't look half as good as they did that game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm a Cowboys fan, I'm disappointed in yesterdays game.

Yes they won and they can finally take a breath at 3-2.

But it was another poor effort and it took them OT to get the win against a team still searching for their 1st.

Late game defense proves again that it could become the Achilles heel of this team. Good teams know how to put teams away for good, and we haven't seen that from the Cowboys other than week 1. They let the opponent hang around. Add that in with the inconsistency of the QB play from Romo and this team could be a train wreck.

Now, I must clarify myself for ''some'' of you Cowboy fans. This team has the talent to take one of the wildcard spots. They still have a shot, although tough, at the division, that is if they play to their ability.

Just two things I thought I'd share.

im not happy with the way we played but im happy with the outcome which is the most important thing. if you win and there are no big injuries i take it as a good day. i know are talent is there that we can make something of this season but penalties and poor coaching which go hand and hand worry me.

Just look who have we lost to? Giants (5-0) and Broncos (5-0)
Who have we beaten? Buccaneers (0-5) Panthers (1-3) and Chiefs (0-5)

So what does this mean? Are we a good team than barely loses to the best teams in the league? or are we a team that can barely beat the worst teams in the league? I think it comes down to the coaching which seems to have a team that plays down to the level of their competition and not up to the level of their competition. I think we are a better team than we look like right now and our talent level is there, but we're playing below our means and play down to the crappy teams but don't play up to our potential when we play the good teams. With proper coaching we could have very well closed out the Giants considering the way we were playing (minus the turnovers) and could have gone for the throat of the Broncos early and finished them off after going up 10-0. Unless we win a Super Bowl this season, I don't see Wade Phillips being here next season.

He did not have a great game. Having one guy break long ones makes it look like you had a hell of a game... i.e. Brett Favre in his last season in Green Bay with the Yards After Catch Crew... Austin was the star in that game and made Romo look good, not the other way around. At any rate, nice to see them win one.

Romo went 20 for 34, hardley outstanding numbers... The one thing to remember in all of this also is that you guys went to OT with the Cheifs, when it shouldn't have even been close...

But good for Austin... I'm sure that Irvin is rolling in his mound of coke tonight LOL!!! Most receiving yards in a game...
