Your passe defense sucked.

Our run defense sucked.

I expect both to be better when we meet again.

For all the Romo brain farts and the lucky bounces, our team did pretty well to keep the game so close and actually have a shot at winning. Our defense spent way too much time on the field and I think that's why they gave up so many yards. The thing you have to take away from this is that Eli Manning is the real deal. Our defense is going to depend on our offense to have some kind of ball control, we gave the Giants 4 extra possessions that essentially wore down our defense. Our red zone defense is pretty damn solid, either that or the Giants just sucked in the red zone; our pass rush was abysmal although I give Eli credit for getting out of the way on several occasions. The ball will not always bounce the way it did last night so we have to be encouraged by the fact that our run game found a good number of holes. We killed them with our run game this time, next time if they stop that and Romo is on his game we'll gash them through the air. Yeah it's a loss, and it's to the Giants, but if it's Romo's one stinker I'm glad it came early so he can get over it and hopefully learn to take care of the damn ball.

I actually think Canty will be good, but so far he's a dud for the Giants b/c of how much they've paid him and what he's done so far. The thing that I think will hurt Canty is he's moving to DT and not staying at DE, which forces him to play bigger and may affect his rush. I think they're trying to make him into a Jay Ratliff-esque kind of DLineman, big and fast. Ratliff is one of the most underrated players in the league, just the disruption that he causes at the line of scrimmage and the fact he'll slip right past two guys trying to block him because of his speed. Ratliff was worth the Cowboys investment, Canty was not and I think Jerry Jones knows what he's doing when it comes to resigning his players (where to put his money and where not to)

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Just ask the 1970's, early 1980's, and 1990's era Cowboys teams. The bottom line is this. You may percieve that we got lucky, however I will state the obvious. Eli when the chips are down is one of the 5 best OB's in the NFL. I would offer this fact to you. Romo tries WAY TOO hard to beat your defense. Eli operates on what the defense gives him. That's the way Montana did it, thats the way Unitas did it, and thats the way Eli does it.

i dont know if i would put eli in the same sentence as montana and unitas as of now.but i will say he's proved me wrong he has matured in too a real good quarterback in the last 2 and a half years and to be honest i didnt see it coming.but it is also must be said that he has maybe the best offensive line in the league which makes a hell of a difference.

We should have won that game, we were the better team but Romo's mistakes and unlucky bounces cost us a game that we lost by 2 points.
Enter the pressure mounting on Romo leading to Kitna taking the reings...

I just want to point out that the NY Giants played without 6 important players, 3 which are defensive key players like Aaron Ross, Kevin Dockery and Chris Canty and we still manage to win the game at Dallas!

I was very surprised how good the Cowboys run defense was because they sucked in week 1. It almost seemed like Dallas was so preoccupied with defending the run they ignored the passing game comepletly.

And one last thing, Dallas needs a new coach.

Disagree.

Where do you think Flozell learned that tripping technique?

Dollars to dougnuts, he learned it watching Wade's tricks to always be first in line at the buffet table.
