the latest i heard via espn is that jerry jones isnt too hot about bringing TO back because it will cost him 8 mill next year and he doesnt feel he got what he paid for last year. it was said by mort that jones feels this way whether parcels is back or not. of course TO isnt worried about it cause if he doesnt play there he thinks he'll easily get a job somewhere else. thats the word.

I just don't see how Owens was ever really needed in the first place. Sure we made the playoffs, but because of the Owens signing we stood pat on the offensive line for yet another season, and cost us a year where we could have been stronger. Johnson,Glenn,Crayton and Witten were a fine receiving corps going into the season. It was the O-Line that should have been upgraded.

It's a fair point. Losing T.O. would leave a big hole at WR, but given the drama he brings to a lockeroom and all the drops this season, I have to wonder whether he's really someone we want to hold onto.

Looks like the Cowboys need to locate a new head coach. Parcells just retired.

It is already determined Parcels retired. As for getting rid of T.O. they should dump him in Oakland and let Moss and him fight, lol.

Should be interesting too see what the team addresses now that the FA period has begun.

would they fight? or would they get along? I think they'd be best of friends.

And what a pathetic market. It's really sad when the team's best options are to resign the offensive linemen they had last year.

That's scary for sure. It'll be interesting too see how consistent Romo can be and how far he can progress.

TSN : NFL - Canada's Sports Leader Cowboys sign Offensive Lineman Leonard Davis to a 7 year contract worth nearly 50 million dollars. The Cowboys also picked up Terry Glenn's roster bonus

Cowboys have signed Brad Johnson to backup Tony Romo. Johnson obviously won't take a team like Dallas very far, but having some experience in the backup role in someone like Brad Johnson can help Romo even if Johnson doesn't take a snap

The Davis signing drives me a little crazy... I think he was the best available, and I think he will play better in Dallas, but 49 mil with almost 19 of it promised to him... that is way more than he is worth. I wanted them to go after Steve Hutchenson last year, and we just gave LD the same contract Hutch got in Minn... that makes me sick. What's done is done and we just cross our fingers LD looks more like the UT version than the AZ version.

Side note- Anyone else tired of the Juice Jones project? If so now's the time to move. With guys like Dillioin and Lewis out there, we could probably pick up a late 2nd or early 3rd for Jones... keep MBIII for the redzone and short yardage... just a thought...
