-The Giants defense is pretty weak without Strahan and that is nothing new. If he retires then NY can book their Cellar spot. The offense didn't appear to be anything special without Tiki Barber, but it is only pre-season so good luck with that.
-Jason Cambell has a great arm but that O-line has not yet gelled, can't pass block. The entire offense is going to have to rest on the success of Clinton Portis because if he can't run then they won't be able to pass. The Defense appears to have sured up a bit though. -Sorry Dallas fans but Romo still has to prove he can get the job done. 1 probowl and 1 and done in the playoffs does not a HOF QB make. The Secondary is also suspect. With as many starters that have returned and off-season moves made. Saying that the Eagles may miss the playoffs or have to fight it out for the division is one thing, but the bottom of the NFC east? That is just obvious bias and reckless talk when they are one year removed from beating the Giants in the playoffs with Jeff Garcia. I know losing in the 1st round of the playoffs twice in a row is probably tough to deal with but be reasonable. Sure the Colts or Bears COULD finish dead last in their divisions, but I think making a statement like that would be extreme and they both lost a lot of key players. Who have the Eagles lost that would make them fall so hard? Michael Lewis who wasn't even starting by seasons end? Jeff Garcia, who John Gruden doesn't even want to start in Tampa?

I'm just going to lock this one as the newly updated 2007 thread is stickied at the top of the page. Consolidates the discussion in one place.
