Well, he isn't supposed to be back until Week 2 of the regular season...

That has gotta hurt the 'Skins...

all i heard was that he was going to try and be back for week one...and that was from the horse's mouth. im thinking his value may drop a bit in the fantasy leagues

From a top 6 RB to a late first round RB? I guess.

If I'm a Skins fan, I'd want Portis to take his time to fully recover. Better to only miss one game due to injury then to rush things than to play hurt or with a less than 100% shoulder and risk injuring it again (and more severly at that as well).

True enough. Although in that division ya never know about missing a game or two and how that can affect things, but the same could be said for playig through an injury..

The Skins can still be good without Portis. Portis don't make the team. He's just one player. But I think he'll be back by week 1.

No need to have him in week 1, he is a number back as it is. This is the very reason why top backs don't generally play at all in week 1. I'd be choked too if I got hurt when I probably shouldn't have taken the field.

I think the Redskins will be fine, but I'm not sure about Portis. He seems like the type of player, that may rush his recovery, just to show "He's the Man". If he comes back before his body is healed, then I would be worried.

Well, it looks like the Redskins are a little concerned, with the injury to Portis, at least for the first couple of weeks of the season. From what I read tonight, it looks like they were shopping around, and actually made a purchase. Not sure how T.J. is going to do in Washington, but we may find out......

Here is a guy you can get tired of quick. Some times I wish they would tape their mouths shut and just put them on the field.
