Just saw on ESPN News Hotlist Arrington's injury from monday nite was blown achilles tendon and will take at least 9months of therapy to get back from it when historically the blown achilles was end of career so we can as giants fans hold onto next season with Lavar tearing off QB's heads

thats a lot of money on the sideline
i'm glad GB invested in woodson instead, although he needs to step it up. i would've rather had buchanon. thats too bad, i've always liked watching him play, when he was healthy. and i was upset when THE pack didn't pursue him more this offseason.

A buddy of mine blew out his achilles playing football. I was right next to him. He didn't scream, yell or wince in pain. He just heard a pop and knew that something was not right near his ankle. It's probably different in each case though. I'd probably say a traumatic blow to the head hurts more; ala Trent Green or Big Ben.

When you tear your Achilles Tendon, it curls up like a fruit roll up and goes halfway up your leg. Blowing it isn't near as bad I suppose, but when I said most painful I was talking about tearing it. ![]() |

I've ruptured mine before, and it's not too comfortable at all. I can't imagine what a clear tear would feel like - probably not too good.
This is eerily similar to Takeo Spikes' last season, and although TKO returned from the Achilles injury, he hasn't been the same, nor can he stay healthy anywhere else on his body
