Dallas Cowboys Cowboys Are Back in the Saddle Again

Tonight's 14-10 victory over Washington was huge. Dallas is now 6-4 with 4 of their last 6 games at home look to be headed for the playoffs. Marion Barber came up big tonight as did Terrance Newman who shut down Santana Moss all night. I said earlier this year that Newman out of the lineup was as bad as Romo being out. They are both back and although Romo was a bit rusty, he got the job done. As he gets back into the swing of things, I expect Dallas to be one of the hottest teams going down the stretch and a Super Bowl contender. I still say it will be the Cowboys vs Titans in the Super Bowl. At full strength, Dallas can and will beat the Giants. It would be great to get payback on them after what happened last year.

Dallas Cowboys Let's hope they can pull it together.

Well... One game does not "back in the saddle" make, my friend...

They still need a lot of improvement.

I'm glad they won last night, but I'm not jumping on the playoffs bandwagon just yet.

One thing I've learned during my 3+ decades of being a Dallas fan, is that they are consistently inconsistent.

Dallas playing in the Superbowl is a bit of a stretch seeing as the Giants and that entire division is stomping out the NFC...but they did look good

I agree Irish... Dallas is a long way from being playoff material, let alone a Superbowl contender.

Dallas came out flat in the first half, then pulled their heads out & actually played some decent football in the second half.

I think the Giants will open up another can of whoop ass on Dallas here @ home. The Giants really got it together, minus their brain damaged performance against Cleveland, they're sharp this season. They "should be" sitting at 10-0 right along with Tennessee.

I also think the Eagles will whoop 'em too... In their house, in front of their rowdy home crowd. Dallas just don't have what it takes right now. They may get their act together & surprise me in December... Who knows?

Dallas has a decent shot at beating San Fran, Seattle & Pittsburgh, but it all depends on whether or not Dallas shows up to play. They have a bad habit of looking past teams that they think they can beat, only to have their asses handed to them.

Baltimore... Hmmmmm I dunno. It's in our house, so I'll give Dallas the edge there.

Dallas will most likely finish out the season with a 10-6, or 9-7 record.
IF they make it to the playoffs, they'll collapse in on themselves & lose the first game... Again...

Dallas Cowboys I'm still true silver and blue.

Owens81, I've been a Dallas Cowboy fan ever since I could pull the knob on the TV to turn it on and turn the dial to change channels. Before there was such a thing as remote controls. I remember the "real" glory days when we had a coach named Tom Landry... Players like Bob Lily, Roger Staubach, & Chuck Howley. I remember old "Dandy Don" Meredith was in all the NFL highlight reels. Unfortunately, he retired when I was a youngster.
I remember the big shootouts between Staubach & another quarterback named Terry Bradshaw. I even remember when Bradshaw still had hair! LOL
Those were some games!!!

I'm still a Dallas Cowboy fan to this day, however I'm also a realist.

I'm not going to sit here and try to blow smoke up everyone's butts or share in the pipe dream of a Dallas Superbowl this season. I don't feel they have what it takes to get it done.

I WANT the Dallas Cowboys to prove me wrong. I'd be tickled sh*tless if they could simply win ONE freaking playoff game. Something they have yet to accomplish in this new millennium.

As far as my wardrobe selection... Yes, I wear Dallas Cowboy hats and jerseys practically everywhere I go.
That is my personal choice and frankly no one else's business but my own.

I'm not here to get into a pissing contest with you. I'm simply here to talk about football. I call it like I see it, sir. Any "true" fan of the game can see where I'm coming from. And, any "true" Dallas Cowboy fan knows exactly what I'm talking about.

The Cowboys are sloppy, and undisciplined. They act as if they don't have the heart to get out there and get the job done. When they DO get it together, they're a GREAT team, but they are too inconsistent and unreliable. Penalties and stupid mistakes are eating their lunch every game. There is too much "ME, me, me" going on on the field. They need to learn to work together as a team.

I have been let down by Dallas too many times over the years to get overly excited about anything they do anymore. But, I'm still a fan. I also reserve the right to criticize MY team.

Last time I checked, this is still the United States of America.

So if the Vikings win next week, I can say that they are a playoff and possibly a Superbowl contender?

I agree with magwhump on this one. When did it become wrong to criticize ones team?

Sure, the Cowboys have the talent to make a Superbowl run, but they are not playing like it. If they play like they did last night, they will be one and done in the playoffs. Like Irish said, the Giants are stomping everybody in the NFC and should be 10-0. Its good to believe in your team, but you have to be realistic.

how should the giants be 10-0? first of the browns spanked em on monday nite football by 21 please let me know how they should have won that game. then they beat the bengals in overtime, they had a hard time beating a banged up steelers team, then last but not least the refs gave them the game against the eagles with the jacobs and elie plays. everyone keeps saying they should be 10-0 wtf are you guys talking about they easily could be 6-4, so please stop with this nonsense.

What LooseChange means is the Giants SHOULD have beaten the Browns...But, they didn't... I stated that in a previous post myself. The Giants "SHOULD" be 10-0 right along with the Titans.
They had a bad game against an inferior team, so they're 9-1 because of it. The Giants ARE superior to the Browns. They SHOULD have won, but they still lost the game.

Just like Dallas SHOULD have beaten the Rams... But, they didn't...

Crap happens... Such is life in the NFL. The best team in the league (on paper) can still finish last in the league because of crappy performance.

Just like last season, the Giants were mediocre at best during the regular season, they were banged up & depleted because of injuries. They got their players healthy, then they got their heads on straight & came out swinging in the playoffs. Coming in as a wild card & then winning the big prize.

We all know games are decided on the field... By how each team performs during the game. Not by how much raw talent or big name players a team possesses.

On any given game day, even the worst team in the league has a "chance" to jump up & bite a better team in the butt. It is all about preparation and execution. In other words DISCIPLINE. If the players, no matter how good or talented they are, don't have their head in the game, they will make costly mistakes that can cause that game to slip away, or create a blowout in favor of the lesser team.

Are you actively seeking conflict with others?
You seem to have a tendency of taking what others are trying to say out of context, and twisting it into something it is not, or focusing on a single point without taking the entire statement into account.
