Bledsoe

I've been reading a lot lately about people saying that Bledsoe is a bad quarterback because he's indecisive. I think he's a decent quarterback, and was wondering what you true Cowboys fans had to say.

He's an average QB. When he gets good protection, he generally does well.

Here's a good summary of what's going on with Bledsoe:

He's the third best starter in the NFC East. What more could Cowboy's fans want?

Bledsoe is capable enough if he has decent pass protection. Basically he's screwed if the O-Line is anything close to average. Yesterday the O-Line was godawful. A godawful O-Line will hurt any QB, needless to say a godawful O-Line with Bledsoe at QB means the Boys may as well forfeit.

He is done, and washed up, and I really fear we will not find out how good Romo is until it is to late.

Obviously if Romo proved capable of being a solid NFL starter I'd be happy. But what he showed in the preseason was what he could do against the backups of the opponents. He hasn't proven anything at the pro level against the top players in the regular season.

Drew is and always has been a player that plays "Big". The only problem is that the word usually refers to the way he folds under pressure. He screws up in the crucial moments of big games by rushing passes and throwing off his back foot to covered receivers. In recent years, he seems to shorthop passes when under pressure. I think we might as well give Romo the reps and let him mature on the fly, as I don't see going deep in the playoffs with Drew. Unfortunally, in my opinion, Drew has screwed up "Big" enough to warrant a change.

New York Giants

I used to be a sportscaster for an East TX radio station and from personal knowledge of Cowboy Fans. No Pro Team has a more college like Attitude fan base Knee Jerk reactions to wins and losses assigning blame changes wanted for this and that.... hell watch the NBC series friday nite lites those high school stadiums are better than alot of Div 1 fields. Bill knows his team and Bill knows QB's and when Romo is ready he will be playing but Drew is about to join the TO threw me under the Bus fraternity that includes two other Pro Bowl QB's McNabb and Garcia. Drew is an above average QB now. but with age his skills are diminishing, not a good combo for a Cowboys QB the fanbase wont allow for it they would prefer a young QB to learn by losing than a Vet who can win more games now but not go all the way! The fans want the next Troy or Roger not some used to be really good QB.

Jones and Parcells put this team together to win this year. If they instead go with Romo, then this season is done. Jones didn't pay what he did over the offseason to quit after four games. And Parcells won't consider this season finished until he's eliminated.

I'd say I'd agree with many of you about doubting Bledsoe going through to the end. However, I don't think it would be a wise decision to throw in Romo right away. I'd say Bledsoe is average and still has a bit left in him.
