High school football players get preferential treatment?

Did you hear a few months ago about the HS football players that pulled a "prank" hich broke one kids neck and caused the other permenant brain damage? The judge put off their tiny sentences until after the football season.

Do you think HS football players get free passes? Do they deserve them? Are we doing them a disservice by treating them like little gods?

There was another thread started about this incident. What irritates me is that people stopped talking about it. If the press had stayed on it like they do some other things, then these boys wouldn't have been playing and definitely wouldn't have made it to college on their football.
