Tomorrow night is the first friday of the season in Mississippi.
My team (George County H.S.) is ranked 7th in the state and were playing the 3rd ranked Wayne County H.S. in the biggest game in the state this week if not the entire year.

Well my high school football days were before the internet or cell phones but the local high school where I live is one of the best in the state. Liivng in Texas that is quite a feat. Last year they were 12-0 in the regular season then lost in the divisonal championship game. The year before they made it to the state 4A championship game and lost 0-28. They have 16 consecutiive seasons of winning 10 games or more and their current coach has a record of 245-45-2 at the high scool he is at now with a lifetime record of 315-82-4, third on the list of all time winning coaches in Texas high school football history. Every game is slam packed with spectators. No Michael Vick fans.

May sound like bragging, but I am he most hyped rookie going into my first year of HS ball. But, the most talked about senior is fifth year senior WR Derek Weiss and 5th year LB Will Flesher. Both are looking at def. scholarships in the next level.

I have never heard of anything like this. What did they fail a grade or something along the way? I have heard where some schools will fail football players in the 8th grade so they will be bigger and stronger for high school. But I also think that is just nuts.

No, due to the fact that they took away the actual grade thirteen, students have the choice to come back for an extra year to get extra classes they need for university. Our football team takes full advantage of this and our players come back for only one semester to take 2 classes and play an extra year.

Canada hahaha Might be why.

We played a control scrimmage, only offencive TD was my 27 yard WR reverse td. Our second came off an INT return by our Saftey Matt Baldisera. Other team trounced us.

Haha, awsome. We got our actual first game this Friday against our rival school at home, so we should take it. We got some sick trick formations.

Lasalle Lancer Starting Lineup: As far as I know

LWR: Tyson Allen
RWR: Taylor "Irish" Hill*
QB: Nick Liard
RB: Graham McCrae
FB: Josh Cuomo*
LSB: Brynley Peregrine
RSB: Derek Weiss

RCB: Jon Taylor
LCB: Darryl Beaudoin
S: Matt "Baldy" Baldisera
OLB: Jason King and E.J Beauchamp*
MLB: Joe Shyminsky
LDE: Will "Diesel" Flesher
LDT: Dustin Duffy

* = Rookies

Update: 48-6 for the opposing team. Got screwed by the refs. What's your standpoint on a graduate of the opposing team reffing a game? Cause that's what happened and there was a alot of, lets say "questionable", calls.

Will update with results and the finalized depth chart after tommorow's game.

Wow my school is the Green Forest Tigers (yes i have been out of high school for quit some time) and our rivals we usually play at the end of the year Berryville Bobcats but the past 5 years my Tigers have been better than the Bobcats so we changed classes we are now triple A and Bobcats are 4 A.

So needless to say the history between our two teams reach far back and cause alot of havok during the week we play. Even gone as far as parents stabbing other parents and fighting. It does get pretty violent during this game so much in fact where we have had to bring in 2 neihboring city police force to help keep control when they play.

Well last night was the game it was only the 3rd game of the season and we held the Bobcats to only a total of 73 yards 68 rushing 5 receiving. We had 2 RBs go 147 and 176 rushing yards on them. For the past 3 years we have gone to state and this year is looking good again starting out at 3-0. The final score was 20-12 we won ofc. If you were to compare us to an NFL team this year we are more like the Pitt Steelers run the ball and pound it in. Our team goes for it on 4th down even if it is 7 yards to the first down. Our passing attack is a work in progress but im hoping they can work on it some more as the season goes on.
