Yeah I saw a commercial for that as well, its on MTV so that doesn't bode well for it being very football oriented. It sounds like it will be more soap operaish with just Football being what ties everybody together. Here is the website:
http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/2_a_days...s/series.jhtml If anybody watches it and it is worthwhile let me know as right now I'm not too interested in watching it. |

i watched the first episode, not too bad. your right though, there is alot of soap opera stuff, like in first episode they had a huge match up with Nease HS, florida (tim tebow was qb) and instead they concentrated alot on if a star player had cheated on his cheerleader girlfriend. as for the show, unfortunately it was filmed on last years season (thats why Tebow was playing). would be much better if it was "live" and filmed as this season unfolded. i will keep watching it though |

oh by the way, i could watch Hoover this year, they come to Tulsa, Oklahoma to play Union HS, who has a 57 game home win streak. also hoover is featured in the new sports illustrated out this week and the starting qb for hoover is the younger brother of Alabama starting qb, John Parker Wilson.

Unfortunately, just about every "reality" program on MTV has an element of drama to it. I was hoping to see something non-dramatic for once, but I've been disappointed yet again. I saw the commercial with the cheerleader and tried to steer clear of the program, but my brother was watching it and I couldn't help but look.

Of course, I wonder about anyone that would want to be on a reality program, but that's another story.
I wonder if this will boost the college offers the kids get. And I wonder if it will do anything for the other "character" like the cheerleaders or what not. |

ok that shows is pretty cool i think but i feel its fake, come on, mtv gets a football team with goodlooking guys with cheerleader girlfriends and DRAMA! if it jus consisted about football it would be a lot better, but come on we dont need the drama..

Come on Ghost. You know you can't have anything highschool and there not be drama.
As for it not being real, it's been in the local papers and talk radio. It's suppose to really boost the seniors (they were juniors during filming) colleges opportunities. |

I have 3 of these episodes backed up on my tv. I am a reality show loser, so I am sure I will watch it and see every episode. Just have not gotten into it yet.
I am too old to be watching a show about high school. |

Nah. It'll make you glad to be old. I watched dateline (I think that's what it was) last night about how mean teens are to each other and what shocked me was that the parents were shocked. Apparently you forget quickly just how painful highschool was!

for those that are wondering about Hoover High, I do agree the show is a little to dramatized, I have been watching it, but only because of home state connections. My oldest son played for Tuscaloosa County high , one of the teams on the show that beat them.we were at that game. Hoover is not to be overrated, they have a superb program and should be highlighted. If you are ever in the birmingham Alabama area you should visit their school, they have atheletic buildings and a stadium , most schools dream of, but with a booster budget of $400-500 grand a year.... no brainer. even though I am a true fan of another program, hats off to the hoover program it deserves respect.
