Top Recruits

Here is a list of the top recruits who have not yet committed.

Number 2 ranked McKinght interested in Bama, Arkansas, LSU, Miami, Miss, Texas, and USC.

Number 3 ranked Austin interested in Fla St, NC, USC, Maryland, Tenn, Illinois, and LSU

Number 10 ranked Toliver interested in Florida, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tenn and USC

Number 13 ranked Johnson interested Michigan, Mich St, Ohio State, Tenn and USC

Number 15 ranked Devine interested in Florida, Fla St, LSU, NC, and West VA.

Almost everyone has USC or LSU on there list, must be nice to be at those schools. Devine to WVU was a little interesting that one just came up.

USC has 4 and 5 star recruits that will never see the field. I wish some of these kids would quit throwing away their football days.

But all these coaches tell them they are important to the program. But it does build great competition in your program. It is easy to get all that talent to perform, it is hard to develop the 2 and 3 star guys.

I agree, the key to having a good program is getting the best out of lesser talent. Boise State, a team with exclusively 1 and 2 star recruits is a prime example.

I've heard stories about Pete Carroll going to a top rated Linebackers house and telling the kid he was going to be a back up Fullback with the possibility of being a starting Fullback down the line... The kid still signed.

Yeah no kidding! Hawkins/peterson have done a great job with the Bronco's....Give Hawkins a few years to develop CU's 3 and 4 stars. Colarado will be back in a few years.

I should never have mentioned USC and recruits that will never play....Bad things happen. This is from Anthony Gildon a 4 star recruit who would probably start at least 2-3 years at Oregon. If he goes to USC he'll never see the field....

Anthony will officially visit SC this weekend along with Marc Tyler and Marshall Jones. Here are a few quotes from Anthony.

"I didn't really get a chance to check them (USC) because they offered me after I committed, so this weekend will be a first time to really get to see what they're all about." When asked if he saw himself switching his commitment from Oregon to USC.

"Well, it really depends on how the trip goes. It has to really blow me away, and I'm heading into it open minded. I'm still really solid in my commitment to Oregon, but we'll see."

When asked what it would take to switch his commitment.

"I would just have to feel like it was the place for me basically."

"Coach Sark is in charge of recruiting me, and we talked a couple days ago."

Duck, why would the kid go on a visit to SC if he already has committed to Oregon? Sounds fishy to me.

MS is that the same tower where the guy killed all those people?

NO, its the UT tower on the campus of Texas.

Yea, didn't a guy go up there in like the 60's with a gun? Not sure if he killed anyone but I thought he did.

August 1, 1966 Charles Whitman shot and killed 13 people from the tower. The tower has just been reopened, it had been closed for the better part of three decades because of this incident and many suicides. Boy that was easy, next question. LOL.

USC offered after gave his verbal. This is the second time this week a school offered a Duck commit... Florida tried to offer Miles Wade and he politely denied.
