Brantley De-commits from Texas and goes to Florida

boy, what a great decision this is, now he gets to back up another up and coming QB, I could care less about him leaving.

The Texas Longhorns and the Florida Gators seem to be building an unusual tie to each other when it comes to the recruitment of top quarterbacks. Last year, the Gators thought they had Stephenville, Texas prospect Jevan Snead locked up, but the nation's No. 3 quarterback switched his commitment and signed with in-state Texas.

Well, it's said what goes come around, and today Florida was able to return the favor in an eerily strange way. Texas thought they had Ocala, Fla. native John Brantley all locked up until yesterday, when he switched his commitment to in-state Florida.

Brantley, a senior at Trinity Catholic and Gatorade National Player of the Year, is the No. 3 quarterback in his class, just like Snead was. While these two schools have lured home their respective quarterback recruits, the common theme between the two situations seems to be distance and a lightly-recruited quarterback named Colt McCoy.

I love the direction of Texas Football, 3 five stars, 13 four stars, and 5 three stars, and we could get even more recruits. I am just elated with our direction of the team.

MS72, who's having the most surprising class in your opinion. To me on the good side i go with Colarado and Washington, for programs that are in the dumps like they are to have top 25 classes is a surprise. On the bad side i'd say Ohio State and Cal. Ohio State, last i checked was behind teams like South Carolina and Illinois and Cal is'nt even in the top 25.

I only look at rivals for my recruiting, not a fan of scout, but Ole miss is a little weird, number 13 on rivals, I am not surprised at south carolina, they have a very poweful coach, and look at miami (FL), omg, they are 41, behind teams like syracuse, pitt, and arizona, shows how far they have fallen, and I see oregon is 18 on rivals, good job Oregon, compeating with USC and Cal, and another Notre dame lovers moment, they are a 9 on rivals, with one 5 star, 9 four stars, and three, but probably having the number 1 guy swings that into balance, so some suprise's and shock's in CFB recruiting.

Unbelievable what Mack is doing - this is really his strength though

Doubt he'll fall to the Cowboys with so many 1st round OL's not declaring (Baker, Long, etc) but I'd love to see him come on board for us - I'd say he's top 15 overall depending on the way the draft plays out

I think we could have 3 first rounders, Blalock, Griffin, and I think that Aaron Ross could sneek up in the first round, I would love to have Justin, but Michael would be a good choice, cause we need help at S, and sorry madd and jay, its BLALOCK, not Blaylock.
