I played ROLB, TE and FB/HB... I'm one of those guys that's a bit too big to be an out player, but a bit to small to be a pure inside player... But that was a long time ago... Now I coach a little with the little guys and get em started in the right direction... Anyone missing the game's action should look at getting involved and giving back to the sport.

I will end up coaching for sure after next season. Anything I can do to stay involved.

I coach little kids at my school. Its a very rewarding job to see your protege run in a touchdown.

Even more so to see him light some guy up and prevent one... I had this kid I was working with smoke a kid so hard, it sounded like a 22 going off, and he never even stopped moving... Went right through the poor bastard. The other guy got up and was stumbling around punchdrunk... Power angles baby... Simply one of the best tackles I've seen live...

Lol there were a few kids on my team that could do that. To bad they were on offense. We could have used a better defense.

When I played, I excelled at the TE spot. My body size (6'7", 270) was more in-tune to a blocker but I was quite mobile enough to make plays. Always prided myself on my hands more than anything, both for catching and blocking. I was on track to play in college before a freak non-football-related accident saw my left knee almost totally dislocated. 3 torn ligaments, nerve damage, the works. After that I had to give up my dream and it was a very difficult process, something I've only totally gotten over in the past 2 years (I was hurt when I was 17).

Yea its great to be a coach or an assistant. Me and my brother are working with the Community College we go to and I love it. But I still miss football a lot.

I'm planning on helping coach next year after I graduate. Should be amazing after this year. New playbook this year for Lasalle, we're going to kill.
