Drop Delhomme for Rivers?

I have Delhomme and Favre. Looking at the schedules, Rivers has many more favorable matchups than Delhomme, by a tally of 8-3 in my count. Favre has great matchups in Weeks 8, 13-16. With San Diego looking good, and Rivers actually looking good, am I crazy to be thinking of making this move?

That depends on how much ints hurt you, I would consider getting rid of Favre.

Why drop Favre over Delhomme? Look at this breakdown:

Week 6: Delhomme @ BAL, Favre BYE, Rivers @ SF - winner Rivers
Week 7: Delhomme @ CIN, Favre @ MIA, Rivers @ KC - winner Delhomme
Week 8: Delhomme DAL, Favre ARI, Rivers STL - winner Favre
Week 9: Delhomme BYE, Favre @ BUF, Rivers CLE - winner Rivers
Week 10: Delhomme TB, Favre @ MIN, Rivers @ CIN - winner Rivers
Week 11: Delhomme STL, Favre NE, Rivers @ DEN - winner Delhomme
Week 12: Delhomme @ WAS, Favre @ SEA, Rivers OAK - winner Rivers
Week 13: Delhomme @ PHI, Favre NYJ, Rivers @ BUF - winner Favre
Week 14: Delhomme NYG, Favre @ SF, Rivers DEN - winner Favre

PLAYOFFS:
Week 15: Delhomme PIT, Favre DET, Rivers KC - winner Favre
Week 16: Delhomme @ ATL, Favre MIN, Rivers @ SEA - winner Favre

This is why I think Delhomme is a better drop than Favre. The matchups that Favre and Rivers have are far superior to Delhomme. Can you give me a reason why you'd drop Favre instead of Delhomme other than the quality of their teams?

The only favorable match up Farve has at the end is against Detroit. Maybe. Team performance can change drastically over a season; but the Jets, Niners, and Vikings are by no means doormats this season. Plus, the Packers as a whole aren't so great. Sure Delhomme and Rivers has some tough games; but I don't think it's that clearcut in favor of Farve.

I don't think Farve is going to get any better than he already is; Delhomme will improve as he continues to play with Steve Smith and Keyshawn Johnson. The Panthers are playing a lot better now, I'd keep Delhomme.

Rivers, I'm iffy over because he's, well, a rookie. Rookie QBs are hit or miss; right now he's a hit. Will it last? Maybe? Maybe not. I know Rivers isn't going to challenge for 20 picks like Farve could concievably could. So I'd drop Farve of those three.

nyj and sf pass defenses arent very good. mn/gb is always a battle. and playing from behind in fantasy can be helpful sometimes in scoring ooodles of pts. rivers is not a rookie, he is a 2nd yr player who is impressing everyone. he played very well against pittsburgh and now is playing sf.

It is really simple Favre may throw for 250 and 2 td's but will also throw 2 ints.

Delhome will throw for about 200 and 1 td but will not turn the ball over.

He has 7 touchdowns and 5 int's and 2 fumbles. Well is that what you want for a fantasy qb??

I have Farve on a team, and Delhomme for my backup. Right now Farve is creaming point wise, even with a Interception here and there. Dropping Farve right now, would be a mistake in my opinion. He does have the bye this week, but that means he should go to the bench, not to waivers.....
