Green Bay Packers Favre or Rivers Wk. 2 and another Question

Should I start Favre or Rivers and also should I get rid of one of them for Alex Smith?

I would go with Rivers on this one, just due to his performance last week. Brett has a great arm, and can usually pull one out when they need it, but he doesn't have much to throw to. I have him on one of my teams, and I'm going to keep him benched, until I'm sure he is going to get things going.....

I was worried this was the reply I'd get I am such a Favre fanboy it's hard, really hard to do that.. even though it's the common sense thing to do. If I go with my gut, it's Favre, if I go with who's a better pick it's Rivers........

My guess is that he starts 2 QBs and he needs someone to fill his second spot... either that or he is a bad drafter or something...

It's a Yahoo public league, auto draft. I forgot I signed up for that team, so I didn't set a draft board or anything. My other teams are a tad better then this one, but I am actually going to try and win with it.

how'd favre do this weekend? get the old man a break, he's got driver and jennings, both looking good, he's not as bad of a play as ppl think.

No, not when he is throwing bombs all day. Too bad the 3-13 record is the trade-off.

I have no clue why I posted 5 times right there, my computer just snapped.

Hey, next to the Denver Broncos, the Packers are my next favorite team, and Favre is one of those reasons. After watching his performance last season, I had concerns about how he was going to do, and in week one his play made me think it was going to be more of the same. Yet after the way he played in week 2, I am upset with myself for keeping him on the bench. I still won in that league, but I would have have gained even more points, if I had started him......

the thing is, he is STILL a top 5 QB, he just doesnt have the top 5 OL protection he did in years past. If they can get that line to gel and give him time, they have weapons to do great things offensively. not an every week start right now anymore, but against mid to lower tier teams (15-32) he is a pretty good play IMO.
