change in the points system

I would like your opinions on a situation that happened to me this weekend.

On draft day everyone gets a copy of the points break down for the league. We all look at them and agree this is fair and these will be the points for the up coming season.

So luck has it I play the commish the first week.

We are in a tight game and I end up winning by 3 points. Now today he says that he made a mistake on the def points and I should of got 19 instead of the 25 I recieved. So he makes a retroactive change to the points system and now I lose by 3.

He clams this is for the betterment of the League and that it was a hard choice but it had to be done.

Now we all had a copy of the points on draft day and we ALL AGREED to them at that time. Is it fair of him to go back and retroactively change the points system?

After all we ALL were playing from this piticular scoring table so everyone had the same oppertunities I did.

If a change needed to be made it should be made from this point foward not a game that has already been decided.

To be honest I feel as if I'm getting stroked a bit and I'm very pee'd about this. If you wanna change them fine if everyone agrees but you change them from this point forward.

Am I wrong?

if he changed the rules after they had been established to better himself then its wrong, plain and simple wrong, and he should be kicked off by league vote. if the change was made because of a automatic scoring error, then its just bad luck for you, but as commissioner he should make the change, even if it happened to be him that benefited. i have to ask, what change was made to have your DEF point total change by 6 pts? what rule changed in your opinion?

I would never let that guy be my commish again probably. In my league we changed to fractional points after the fact, but only agreed because no matches were overturned.

Bottom line is that once you draft you can not change the scoring b/c people draft according to a certain scoring system. At least I do.

The Commish should not take it upon himself to make any changes. If anything he should bring it to a league vote.

No, I didn't give up I'm still here.

The points have been taken care of and are how they should be now.

All the Def scoring were off they were either to high or to low and some had zero. Some of the catigories I scored in were to high and some were to low. But I did draft according to those points so I still believe that those points should stand.

All of the players agreed upon starting the season over with the "new" points system.

Hopefully this will solve the problems we've had on week ones totals.

No way you can have rule changes in the middle of the season. That is ridiculous.

I would quit out of protest, because it is horribly mismanaged.

I am confused here. Were the calulations or scoring criteria wrong? If it was the scoring criteria and they changed it after the draft I would quit as well.
