How high does Chester Taylor go?

http://www.twincities.com/mld/twinci...l/15229291.htm

Quote:
Running back Chester Taylor was the offensive star of the morning, full-pads practice,

Taylor ripped off three nice runs, including one against the first-team defense and another cutback job on which he stiff-armed cornerback Ronyell Whitaker and punctuated with a savage spike of the football.

"He had a tremendous day," quarterback Brad Johnson said. "That's what we're going to have to have with Chester. That's what we expect, and that's what you saw today."
On the other hand seems like Mewelde Moore is not doing so hot from that article.

Chester Taylor is probably assured to go between mid second to early third if the leagues pick correctly. Can't see him falling much later then that..

If he goes that high, he will disappoint.

Taylor isn't an outstanding talent. More an Michael Pittman than a Priest Holmes.

The Vikes offense is marginal at best. Their passing game is sub-par, so they will stack the box against the run. Childress has shown a penchant for platooning backs and spreading the ball around with the Eagles. Vikes continue that trend in practice. While Taylor is the top back, Moore will see at least 25% of the touches (his shortcomings relate to durability, not ability) with Fason getting in another 10-15% (including the all-important goalline).

In all, I can see Taylor hitting 1200+ combined yards and maybe 8 TDs, but I can't see him being a stud in any way, shape or form. A servicable 2nd back only.

Ok, can I get your name so I can send you an invite to join my fantasy league?

Minny and their IMPOSING 2005 20th ranked D is something to be reckoned with.

OK, first off 20th in the league means that there are 12 defense statistically worse. That puts them more towards the bottom-end of middle-of-the-road defenses (4-below the mid-point), not amongst the wretches.

2nd, statistical rankins for defenses are very misleading. Statisically, the pathetic Packers unit is better than Redskins, Colts, Chargers or Broncos.

3rd, you neglect the change of coaching. Tice and Cottrell are amongst the worst there is.

4th, you neglect the influx of talent: Dwight Smith, Kenechi Udeze, Greenway and Leber primarily.

Vikes do not have a dominant defense, but to say they are high-school caliber shows is amazingly ignorant.

Dude, I think your "sarcasm detector" is broken. Better go get that fixed when you get a chance.

A CLEAR Minnesota homer's in the house.... My 1 year-old son just got edged out by a nose for the starting guard on their practice squad. High school caliber was a compliment, not a bash!

I've seen him go anywhere between round 4 and 7.

They improved this off season, but will still be about average.

I just did a draft (12 teams) this evening and CT dropped to the 13th round! (yes, I picked him) It's a NFL.com league though and you are not allowed to have very many bench spots so many people don't have more than 3 RB's.

I have one more draft tomorrow so I'll let you know where he ends up in that one.

Wow, that is a STEAL in the 13th round. I dont think he will have an all-pro year or anything, but he should definiltey perform well against lesser quality defenses.
