That's a pretty sweet team for a 12 team league; nice 2 RBs, WR looks solid, TE is pretty good with Shocky and 2 very nice defenses (who cares about Ks - you don't need 2). Sure you seem a little weak at QB but I wouldn't panic just yet.
I'm not sold on Vick because you can never depend on QB rushing yards to be consistant, but you could be in worse shape. He may get more red zone rushes since Duckett is gone. You never know. Young probably won't see much time this season. Smith has nowhere to go but up. He could suprise a few people and turn out a decent season. Starting QBs go down to injuries every season. Keep a keen eye on each team's situation and grab a QB off the wire when a situation changes. Already this preseaon you have Collins signing in Tennesse and Jeff George signing in Oakland. I'm not sure if either of those guys will start but you it's a good idea to keep an eye on them. So, I'd take the wait and see approach.

i dunno... actually i wouldnt be supprised if young actualy did start in a few games this year. that said...starting a few games is not the type of player you want in your QB spot on your fantasy team...especially if he is a rookie and will prob be torn to shreds a few times before he gets a hang of what its like to be a QB at this level. not sure who is available...maybe you could sneak by with a creative trade? not sure...id make young the odd man out if i were you tho
i just actually saw that the titans signed collins...not sure what this does...i still think vince will start a few, but it just might take place a little later in the season. although i would start him sooner than later, i dont think vince even nearly "gets it" yet. not sure about this one?

If you really, really want a better QB, I'd consider trading one of your top wideouts for a top QB. Don't even consider giving up Tomlinson or Jordan unless it's a ridiculously one-sided deal in your favor (and I wouldn't likely suggest it even then). QBs and WRs sort of go hand in hand; so I don't think you need to give too much up for a better second.

who are the top 5 available free agent QB's? I would drop vince young for anyone of them if they are a starter or play behind an often injured starter. you can be just fine with vick, but get urself some insurance. (did anyone draft matt schaub?)

Drop a kicker and pick up Losman (Buff). Also drop Lewis (TE) and pick up Brad Johnson or whoever becomes the starter in Tenn., Collins or Volek. Then keep an eye on the Chicago QB situation. Grossman isn't really worth owning but Griese is a solid QB if he ends up starting. Just not sure how much the Bears system will effect him. Pennigton is available but I think he'll be garbage this season. Also, just curious to how many you will keep each year.

first of all, if its a keeper league, i would immediately drop alex smith and pick up one of these 2 QBs:
1) matt schaub - get vick's back asap if vick goes down you can pop him in and be cooool. remember what he did when vick was out last year? also, there are teams STILL trying to get this guy (like the Vikings) because he is a HUGE talent. 2) jay cutler. the broncos didnt trade up for him not to succeed plummer soon, maybe next year. he has the tools to be a great QB. I see him being a better version of roethisberger, you know, the QB the slipped into the early teens and landed on a solid team............the rest is history Last edited by SDK_06_CHAMP : 08-31-2006 at 10:49 PM.
