Find a league
If you are a newbie try to find a league that is in a standard format. Also look for something that costs NO GREENBACKS. Once you are in a league, most online leagues give you a chance to pre-rank your players. Do that. And remember that RB's are more valuable in the first several rounds. If you don't get you RB's then, you could wind up in trouble later.
The free leagues at NFL.com, CBS Sportsline, and Yahoo are good places to learn fantasy football. I'm in a free league (with openings) at CBS Sportsline with a live draft on August 30th. Join up if you'd like, the League name is North Texas Football League. |

ESPN advertising taught me the following (and ads never lie); 1) Kickers go early, get one before the run on them 2) Don't worry about RB, you can always get on later on 3) Manning retired, both Eli and Payton |
