call me crazy but here's my top 5:
1) L Maroney - dillion near the end of career, and he is already in the mix to start/steal carries. plus, he plays for NE, so he has a solid PROVEN base around him. 2) R Bush - #1 everywhere but here. HUGE talent HUGE upside. But McAllister is there and healthy, and is a great RB in his own right when healthy. Duece aint old either, but has had that knee injury. 3) M Leinart - plays behind Warner, who hasnt played more than 11 games in a season since god knows when. Has looked great, mature QB that has already dealt with major pressure of USC. So many weapons its sick. 4) Joseph Addai - talented guy on a very talented team. i think rhodes is still ahead of him at this point, but 1 bad game could give him the start he never gives up again. Again, tons of talent around him to make him Lil' Edge. 5) Greg Jennings - this might throw some ppl off, but he is playing out of his mind in preseason. favre and him connected for 80+ completion today, so if favre is going to him, he will keep going to him. driver is #1 and it isnt even close, but long term jennings should and will be the man in GB. |

1. Reggie Bush - Watched alot of this kid and his cutting ability and eluding tackles is something special. Great hands out of the backfield make him a legit threat. Deuce's days are numbered.
2. DeAngelo Williams - Watch this kid fly, lead Memphis with 7,700 YDS during his careers netting 43 total TD's. Smaller Stature between 5'9 and 5'10 and a rock solid 215 lbs. Lightning quick speed, good north to south runner, DeShaun is the starter but Williams is clearly the future. 3. Laurence Maroney - I am not entirely sold on this guy, nobody really was until the Pats spoke up. That being said if the Pats didn't pick him he probably isn't on my list. He is a big boy but he could easily have a lower fantasy value as long as Dillon is healthy enough to run the ball inside the 10, the job is his. Maroney is at least a full season away if not two from becomming the full-time starter (barring injury). 4. Vince Young - I love this guy's speed, his ability to make the big plays, awareness, raw talent. He has proven to win the big game and regardless of how poorly he did on the testing procedures I expect him to be Vick Part 2 : Equipped with an arm. He is still somewhat of a shot in the dark until teams get past his testing, if he can't execute the plays then he becomes a WR. 5. Joseph Addai - This guy really didn't do too much for me. He will most likely end up becomming Indy's starter but after seeing him top unit in pre-season he isn't ready to be the starter. I expect more split time contrary to what was intially said. He simply looked lost to me out there. HM - Leinhart, Cutler, Jennings, Jackson |

Reggie Bush, RB New Orleans Saints - He will eventually be what Marshall Faulk was back in the day. Maybe he won't get as many yards, but a good mix of rushing and recieving yards will make him very valuable.
Laurence Maroney, RB New England Patriots - He plays on such a good team, that he's tough to pass up. You never know how long Corey Dillon will play though. He'll be a top 5 RB in a few years. Joseph Addai, RB Indianapolis Colts - It doesn't look like he'll be starting right away, but Dominic Rhodes won't be able to hold him off for long. In that offense, Addai will put up great numbers when given the chance. DeAngelo Williams, RB Carolina Panthers - He won't get a chance to start right away, but he'll get his reps. DeShaun Foster will most likely get injured at some point, and Williams will not give up the starting spot once he gets it. He's a burner who will be great when given the chance. LenDale White, RB Tennessee Titans - Call me crazy, but I think this guy will be great. He was good enough to steal carries from Reggie Bush at USC, so he must have some talent. His size is ideal for a power RB, but his attitude must change if he's going to be great. The threat of Vince Young running will only help him finds holes. |
