Whats the worst pick to have in a draft?

My friend called me and told me he had the 6th slot in his draft, and asked for some advice. I didn't have much advice for him.. haha I told him there was no sure fire 6th best player.. he could choose between,

S. Jackson
L. Jordan
E. James
R. Brown

.. IMO that has to be the worst slot in the draft. what you think?

Either that 5th or 7th...

At least at 8 you know what you're getting

I figure at 5 you get portis or barber, after that there is that group of potential big play guys but also potential mediocre years..

I love picking in the middle. I hate having the 8th and 9th picks.

I like Steven Jackson this year so I'll have to say #7.

I'd also add Rudi to the few RBs you listed. He's not in on passing downs and if the Bengals are behind you won't see much of him.

Jordan has a swiss cheese O-line. With Brooks at QB I can see a lot of Raider drives die before they reach the red zone.

James was great.... .....in Indy.
Fact: the Cards haven't had a 1000 yd rusher since '98 when Adrian Murrell did it. Just a scarey boat to be sailing in.

I'd rate Brown the highest out of these question marks. If he can stand the rigors of a feature back then he will put up good numbers. Problem is that he doesn't have much of a history. It sort of reminds me of Kevin Jones '05 in a way.

Coming back in the 2nd round (2:6) you miss out on some good RB2s and WR1s. You may have to settle for a RB like FWP or (dare I say it) Kevin Jones.

I'm considering Kevin Jones for my 2nd pick at 21. I like the fact that Martz is there and hopefully he can be a poor man's Faulk. I may risk it and try to get him at 28 - depending on what WR's are available at 21.

Any time you pick in the middle of a round in a snake draft

4th has to suck because you were so close to getting top 3, yet you fell just short.

Not necessarily, I have landed Alexander at 4. Some people cant resist Payton Manning.

That is the perception and now it is definitley true... Portis was primed to have a monster year, but now with this injury I think he gets set back a bit..

Indeed...I have pushed him back to 10th overall in my personal rankings now. Tiki should now easily be the consensus #4 guy universally.
