Most Overrated Team?

Who do you think?

I'm going with Notre Dame...I know they won tonight, but just barely. But they're Notre Dame and will always get the benefit of the doubt for whatever reason.

I think it's crap that Notre Dame gets a BCS bid basically no matter what.

Notre Dame = Overrated
USC = Somewhat overrated this year

Without a doubt... Notre Dame.

I am so tired of them being on TV every single Saturday. They are very overrated, and haven't lived up to expectation.

My other pick... West Virginia. WVa definitely should NOT be #4!

Notre Dame is deffently over-rated. They get so much attention and are still in the Big East. If they moved up to the ACC I think they wouldn't get much respect because they would realize they aren't as good as people expect them to be.

Notre Dame
Georgia
LSU

over rated? all of em?

ohio state the great no. 1 team plays a 3 game schedule. usc plays a 3 game schedule. notre dame shouldn't be mentioned in a poll. not over rated. just not any good. west virginia? not a top ten team. if these teams are so good then why do they play nobodys? are they all scared? when the bsc took strength of schedule out of the factors for rating a team it killed any reason to play a real game. notice how many teams in the top 25 play another ranked team usually 3 or 4 a week is all. this is pathetic. which was caused by this bcs mess. ohio state may consider troy state or uab next year. usc should too. they only want to play a sure win so why not these guys. so if you're going to consider yourself a top ranked team........ play somebody. show that you are a top ranked team. anybody can beat a bunch of nobody's. yesterdays georgia tech & virginia tech game shows a bit too. that if you do beat a virginia team you have to beat them & outscore the officials. worst game i've ever seen called in my life.

Lets ignore the fact that Ohio State just finished a home and home with Texas and they have a home and home scheduled with USC in 2008-2009.

Good call. Michigan has Notre Dame, Iowa and Ohio State on the schedule. If the top fifteen teams played each other all season long, every team would end up with at least 2-3 losses, and someone like Boise State and Central Michigan would waltz ahead of everybody and win the national championship.

As it is, strength of schedule is taken into consideration. That is why 5-0 teams like Missouri, Rutgers and Boise State find themselves in the lower echelon of the top 25, instead of bumping heads with the likes of Ohio State, Michigan and Florida.

I agree with the sentiment to an extent. West Virginia should be penalized for playing it safe with such a weak non-conference schedule, considering Louisville is the only real competition they will face this season.

I commend Ohio State for taking the initiative and facing teams like Texas and USC during the non-conference schedule.

I think you should apply your theory to your own conference, Georgia actually did schedule UAB, they also scheduled Western Kentucky. USC on the other hand scheduled Nebraska and Notre Dame, Ohio state played Texas, its redicoulos to say these prgrams have a 3 game schedule.

when georgia added colorado to the sched. the buffs were a very strong team. and when UAB was added they were a year in year own bowl team. its hard to tell 3 years in advance which teams are going to fall off. at the time, the GA sched. looked strong.
