theres a little coach in Penn State that I believe has been there for 40 years, the great jo pa. I'd say anybody that stays that long has a lot of power.

Nick Saban is a joke. He is nowhere near the most powerful coach even in the SEC. If he has two more losing seasons, Alabama will probly fire him.

No, definitely not. Auburn owned him when he was at LSU. Auburn will own him at Alabama. He is nothing but an overpaid Mike Shula.

To answer the question, the most powerful coach in sports is Bill Belichick. No question about it. The man has won countless games, as well as championships. Every player in the NFL wants to be a part of the wealthy Patriots franchise in hopes that they'll get a ring. The man is not only a proven winner, he has gotten away with cheating, which is awesome.

That could be the most rediculous statement that we hear in College Football this year. What about Bobby Bowden? HIs teams have won nothing for years now and his players have to look at each others test papers to write their names, yet he is still around.

Four million dollars for the same exact outcome. But you're right, at least Shula beat Louisiana Monroe.

Are you refering to the fact that Shula inherited a team that was 10-3 and went on to have a 4-9 record his first year or the year he was fired and they finished 6-7 and Saban finished 7-6 last year. Those are exactly the same??? and I'm the crazy one. WOW!!!!

Forbes Magazine Reprints Issue Featuring Nick Saban

Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ:BAMM) today announced that Forbes magazine has reprinted 10,000 copies of its issue featuring Alabama head football coach Nick Saban. Customer demand at Books-A-Million stores helped convince the publisher of Forbes to reprint 10,000 copies of the popular issue, which sold out in 10 minutes at Books-A-Million's Alabama stores last Friday.

The magazine features Coach Nick Saban on the cover as the most powerful coach in sports. He will be the first college football coach to make the Forbes cover since the magazine was started in 1917.

In terms of support and just overall control over the program, I'd say he's the most power coach in college sports.
