What happened to the Hurricanes swagger?

On college gameday, it was said that one of the Louisville players told the media," This is just not the same Miami team, it just isn't!" After a 31-7 pasting, I would have to agree. Any comments about Coker's future appreciated!

The Hurricanes swagger left when they lost players like Portis, McGahee, Winslow, Shockey, A. Johnson, S. Moss, Wilfork, Vilma, D. Morgan, Buchanon, Reed, S. Taylor, etc...

These were great players and we had a great 3 year run from 2000-02 with them but its hard to maintain that especially when quite a few of them are leaving early every year.

Miami needs a change at the top even if all the problems are not Coker's fault there needs to be a change. A new coah brings excitement, enthusiasm, and optimism to a program and that is three things Miami needs desperately in its program.

It's not like Miami can't attract a top coach, let me throw out some names just for fun:
Mark Richt - former UM player who could resurrect his floundering alma mater
Butch Davis - former coach who deserves most of the credit for laying the foundation for that great 3 year run could return to attempt another rebuild
Jimmy Johnson - not likely but wouldn't that be fun
Randy Shannon - current DC has consistently fielded one of the top D's in the nation but might not be a good fit because Miami needs more help on the offense and a promotion from within is probably not the best option right now as the program needs shaking up

Those are just the guys with connections to UM that I could think of off the top of my head and I'm sure there would be lots of national interest in the job as well.

Butch Davis, now that's someone I'd love to see back in the picture. He had a great stint before and I'm sure he can pull it off again.
