What Ohio State fans need to understand

Michigan fans have 3 rivals, not one. They are OSU, Notre Dame and Michigan State. About 40% of Michigan fans dont consider OSU their biggest rival. Many consider it to be State and in West Michigan it is Notre Dame.
During the OSU-LSU championship game I was in a huge sports bar and about half of the people wearing Michigan gear were rooting for the Buckeyes.....they are a fellow Big Ten school, looking to represent.
We dont hate you Buckeyes, only one day a year.....

But, but, but, I thought it was the greatest rivalry in college football. I can understand rooting for your conference come bowl time. Im a gator-hater but pulled hard for them against OSU as well as this year I pulled hard for LSU. I dont see the big deal. Auburn-Alabama, Texas-Oklahoma, Georgia-Florida, Florida State-Miami, Tennessee-Alabama, are all as big as OSU-Michigan. Sorry Fancy, almost forgot USC-Notre Dame.

That's 1 bar out of a billion. The bar I was at (which NFL Wizard, since we live in the same location, I'm sure wasn't far from yours...) almost all of the Michigan fans in that bar were rooting against OSU. When it comes to a rivalry that fierce, conferences shmonferences!

oh and thanks Rocky Top hahaha

I Would Say That There Are Some Classic, Non Televised Rivalries That Are More Important Because Of The Tradition. Harvard-Yale Is An Example. The Georgia-Georgia Tech Game Has Been Played For 115 Years. Pitt-WVU Is A Very Prestigious Game. And Nobody Should Forget The Red River Shootout.

Mich-OSU Does Not Compare.

Army/Navy is also one of the most prestigious rivalries in college football and is traditionally the last regular season game of the season. A few others would be Cal/Stanford, Minn/Wisc, Lafayette/Lehigh (this one dates back to as early as 1884), Florida/Georgia and Alabama/Auburn.

I think Army/Navy might be the best rivalry in college football. They really play for the love of football because after college their football careers are more likely over unless your a special player like RB Napoleon McCallum was at Navy in the early 80's.
