If he can turn that defense around, that could make all the difference in the world. It's hard to do in one year. You just don't have the time in college football. A few weeks in the spring and a few weeks in Aug. Then you are learning new schemes and making adjustments in games and that usually doesn't work. If he does turn it around, then I'm probably going to be more pissed. Pissed that Mack didn't bring in a good DC a long time ago. This defense has been bad for a long time. Mack has never been an X's and O's kind of coach. He's a PR guy. That's ok, but you better surround yourself with the best. Texas can have anyone they want. Money is no problem at UT. Muschamp is a perfect example. We'll see, but I think it's going to be a tough year.
I do agreed about the skill players, but to quote Stephen A. Smtih, "howeva'", I think Quan Cosby could be that guy.

As Much As I Hate To Say It, Georgia Won't Win The SEC Because Of Their Super Schedule. =(

Big XII - Oklahoma
Pac 10 - USC
Big Ten - Ohio State
SEC - Georgia
ACC - Clemson
Big East - West Virginia
WAC - Fresno State
MWC - BYU
MAC - Central Michigan
CUSA - East Carolina
SBC - Troy
Notre Dame - 6-6

Clemson maybe not but who knows. The ACC is pretty bush league but maybe that finally changes this year...the others seem like no-brainers to me. I say Fresno finally wins a WAC title...they might make it to the BCS this year if they run the table...that's a big if though.

I don't know about winning the SEC, but I do agree that will keep them out of the NC game. Right now, SEC is so strong, they just beat each other up. Maybe it's time to break it up and make two conferences out of it. It's big enough to do it.

I only keep up with your first six. The rest are a waste for me. I would agree 100% with your picks though.

If Notre Dame goes 6-6 with the schedule they have this year, Weis should be fired. They have the three "S's" at home. San Diego State, Stanford, and Syracuse. There are three lock wins alone. Let's not forget games vs North Carolina, Washington, Navy and Pitt. Then they have the Mediocre 11 (Big 10) where they host Michigan and Purdue, and go to Michigan State. Certainly they should win 7-8 games against that schedule.

Obviously something happened last year. As everyone knows, there was way too much talent on that team to play like they did. If this season starts out the same, CW won't make it until Nov. He will be gone. Last year, I don't know if the players lost repect for him, or they just quit, either way he has to be a big part of the problem. The funny thing is, he's still recruiting very well.

The SEC Would Never Do That, The Teams Make So Much Revenue It Would Be Just Unethical, Even The Weaker Teams Like Vanderbilt and Ole Miss.

Hey, how has everybody been doin? Been awhile, lot of bass to be caught this time of year. Well, here goes :

ACC - Clemson vs Va Tech winner. Tech does have to travel to FSU and Miami.

Big East - West Va. barring injuries of course. Pitt is the sleeper.

Big XII - A school from Texas. Dodged that one didnt I?

Big 11 - Ohio State

Pac 10 - USC No doubter

SEC - As much as a Tenn homer I am, well we wont win it. BUT : We typically do not lose to Fla and Georgia in the same year. So whoever (Georgia or Florida) beats Tenn will win the SEC. If they both beat Tenn, Id have to say Florida.

If Ohio State can beat USC they should run the table. That's a big if.

Can anyone see Ohio State losing a game in the Big 10?That plus their three patsies on the non-con schedule should guarantee them 11 wins this year. The Big 10 is really soft this year.

Texas fans, answer me this. Why is McCoy such a failure? He was suppose to be a Heisman candidate by now, yet he has done little or nothing. Can Texas win despite him, or will they bench him. Rumor control has it that they have a freshman QB that is suppose to be the next, well Colt McCoy?

It'll probly be OSU's only loss. And USC is gonna lose at least one Pac-10 game to Oregon, ASU, or some other random game. OSU will be back in the NC vs an SEC team...can they finally pull it off...that's my prediction at least.
