Most Underrated Team

...well, who is it? Which college team seems like it is the most underrated or overlooked?

I like what Rutgers is doing, but I think they'll get due respect in time.

Not to mention, Ray Rice went to my Hockey rival High School

Ek, just say the whole PAC-10, WAC, and pretty much any other Western US Conference.

Alot of teams are underrated there except for USC.

Tennessee is still overrated until they prove themselves.

Also, as much as I support the west and do feel like there is a bit of a bias against the teams out here, I still feel like there are teams out here that are overrated year after year. The biggest one to me every year is Cal. They are always heavily favored and covered early in the season and they always drop out early. Arizona State is also perennially overrated IMO. UCLA can be overrated sometimes, like last year they choked against Arizona.

I agree that most of the MWC is extremely underrated and even moreso are the good WAC teams, probly because the crappy WAC teams are so bad. If I were the comissioners of the WAC and MWC, I would be trying to merge the good teams like this:

UTEP (from C-USA), TCU, Utah, BYU, Wyoming, Air Force, Fresno State, Boise State, Nevada, Hawaii, San Diego State, Colorado State

A great 12-team conference with teams that will compete against each other every year and in my opinion should be a BCS conference so the controversy can end and there won't be any BCS busters in the near future.

have to say that my beloved Ags are gettin overlooked this year...a few weeks till we get Texas Tech at home and dispell the naysayers-McGee is a leader at quarterback and the defense is drastically improved! Boise St. is my pick much in part to tailback Johnson. He is a fierce runner and keeps moving long after initial contact.

The Ags are getting overlooked?! Really? I'll have to ask my friend who goes there about that one. Perhaps they are only overlooked by the rest of us out here...I'm not sure

Don't know who you are referring to, but I just know the pecking order in the South changed with one player, Stephen McGee. He is a team player that will soon restore the tradition. I'm sure your friend feels the same. Maybe one of your teams will have the opportunity/misfortune of battling a quarterback with his tenacity. Last year as a true Freshman, he rallied the team in the second half from 4 TD deficit, and only lost 36-30 to Oklahoma despite it being his first game experience after McNeil went down. In the final game of the season, he was named the starter, and led A&M to a late 3rd quarter lead before falling 40-29 to Texas after a blocked kick in the 4th changed the game.

I would have to say Washington State University and Boise State University. I'm sure there are quite a few more out there though.

Well the WAC did try that which lead to the succesion to form the MWC, but yeah I agree the MWC has an eye towards further expansion.

If you added UTEP, Fresno, Boise, Hawaii and or Nevada to for a 12 team conference wouldn't that be even better than the Big East.

I'm all for the BCS caste system being torn down so I'm rooting for TCU to make the BCS. The split on that $15 million would be a huge spur to the athletic departments.

Rutgers are pretty underrated but that doesn't mean they don't play good.. I saw them play at BC and they played a great game!
