So did Texas. After our NC, a few of our guys got into trouble.
LSU has already had the Perrilloux saga, so it really doesn't surprise me. |

as a Bama fan i don't know much about NCAA investigations. the best i can see is............ they do it. you don't have a program anymore. i never liked phat phil phulmer anyway. i have always liked Tennessee. i guess the only way he could get a win against Bama was thru the NCAA. & it worked. i'd hate knowing Phat Phil did anything wrong after turning Bama in. & this isn't against the Tesnnessee team. i just don't like him. i do want to see the outcome of the USC investigations. if they ever do any. there's no telling what riggie bush out of the deal to go to USC. Cadilliac Williams from Auburn came from a poor family. not much money. he drove an Escalade when he went to Auburn. they must have saved for years to buy that thing.
maybe it comes down to ............... he who points fingers motto. |

Reggie Bush took a 250 k house for his mom... His heart was in the right place and god bless him for lovin his mom, but thats a little outrageous... I dont see the problem with small kick backs like clothes, food, a part time job, but 250 large should be a problem... I seriously doubt that USC will get punished because after all they are USC... The NCAA would lose revenue generated by thier BCS appearances year in and year out... But then again thats just one mans oppinion...

Normally, the longer these things drag out, the easier the punishment is. Living in Southern California, I can tell you that a $250,000.00 house is not big deal. Most cost more.

A small School like SMU does it and they will never be the same. A big school like OU or USC does it and they lose 10 scholarships. The problem is ther is no consistent solution, Bama lost almost 20 scholarships before Fran got their... OU lost like 7 a couple of years ago. If it would have been San Jose State they would have lost half their scholarships and been bowl ineligable for the next decade.
I agree that MAYBE there should be an athlete alowance put in place but it still has to be heavily monitored or else big money programs will put NFL teams together on the college level. |

250k will get you quite a bit unless you are in an exclusive neighborhood. I just bought a house in one of the best parts of Arlington and I got 1700 sq feet a 2 car garage and a great yard for $114,500. |
