Houston Nutt

Houston Nutt resigns yesterday from Arkansas after turning down a 2 year extension and accepts the head coaching job at Ole Miss. I think he needs his head examined for that dumb move.

He turned down from Arkansas a 2 year extension worth about 2.25 to 2.5 mil a year. The fans were wanting him gone. One fan went as far as to prove that he was having an affair with a reporter in 05. Through some kind of act he was able to get his cell phone records. After everything that took place this season the school still wanted him and he played college ball there. I figured they would have had to fire him. Never thought he would resign.

Freedom Act- couldnt remeber at the time.
Also His contract at Ole Miss is a 4 yr. deal worth 1.7 mil and increase 100k after each season.

Arkansas offered him a 2 year extension that he rejected. He was not forced out. He left on his own.

Ole Miss has some good talent in Oxford. Orgeron could recruit is *** off, just couldn't coach and couldn't keep a clean program.

They are losing their starting QB (Adams) and RB (Green-Ellis). He'll have alot of rebuilding to do. I think that they have a bunch of seniors. Thats the part I don't understand. He was about to have to rebuild at Arkansas and now he has to rebuild at Ole Miss. Maybe he thought he had done all he could do at Arkansas.

I also think that Nutt is about the same as Coach O. They are both fairly good recruiters but neither one are good head coaches. Maybe good coordinators.

Us fans at Arkansas wanted him out because of the crappy way he treats his players or should i say mainly one player who is no longer there and was a HUGE fan favorite former QB Mitch Mustain.

Nutt and his family talked all kinds of crap about this kid and even sent him threats about beating him and his mother up for crying out loud but because H. Nutt said "He did not know anything about this" when the e-mail was found on his wife computer and even sent from his wife's computer to someone else. They have not done anything to him yet because he said he didn't know of it. Nutt is a huge nut sack and we are glad he is gone.

He does not know how to handle things properly if he just didn't like Mustain fine bench him but don't go freaking threatening him and his mother that's just high school crap.

We all loved Mustain and he was becoming just as popular as McFadden hard to believe i know considering how popular McFadden is but it was true.

I watched Mustain struggle a bit last year as a Freshman. I think he would have been fine this Season. I still am amazed that Arkansas let him get away, could you imagine how much better the Hogs would be with Mustain under Center opposed to Dick? Oh well, Mustain screwed himself by signing with USC. He'll ride the pine behind Marc Sanchez the rest of his career....What a waist of talent.

I don't think Mustain had much of a choice he could either:

1. Stay at Arkansas and continue to be threatened and his mother be threatened(which by the way she was beat up) OR

2. Transfer to another school he did the right thing for him especially for him and his mothers health.
