I heard this on the radio
Last night I was listening to ESPN radio. Don't remeber the show but they were talking (more like arguing) about if Hawaii goes undefeated. At the time I didnt think much about this till USC lost. One guy was basically saying they are a D1 school if they are one of 2 undefeated teams then they should play for the national championship. The other guy was arguing with him saying they didnt deserve that shot. Basically saying there were better 1 and 2 loss teams then Hawaii. I see both of their points. IMO I'm not watching LSU, Cal, OSU, etc destroy Hawaii and given the NC. On excitement level Hawaii playing in the NC game is about like holding me down and making me watch tennis. On the otherhand they are D1 and if they run the table, shouldnt they be looked at like the other D1 schools? I sure hope 2 teams besides Hawaii go undefeated.

Yeah, and they'll get their *** kicked in the process. I don't look for Hawaii to challenge any of the teams heading towards to NC game.

If Hawaii gets in and LSU kicks the crap out of them that will give even more reason for playoffs, go Warriors !!!

It will be another cry for a playoff to determine who the best team really is in the end. We will probly never know who it really is at the end of this year.

Even if they go undefeated, the caliber of teams they beat are far less impressive then the caliber of teams that the 1-loss crew has played and beat, let alone lost to. They are probably the 20th best team in the NCAA right now, undefeated or not. |

well as of now hawaii is not doing well against boise st. but it can go either way. hawaii may be a great place to visit but not a national championship ball team. but our teams going to play such teams as this & many others is what i keep fussing about & is what has the bowl games in such a mess. if we didn't play such easy schedules & try to have automatic wins we wouldn't see teams like usc beaten by stamford. they'd have to get beat by texas or somebody. & strength of schedule was taken out of the BCS things of being important years ago.
as for a playoff ............ ESPN radio made the statement we'll never have a playoff because conferences like the pac 10 & big 10 do not want this. then i see pac 10 big 10 fans on here wanting a playoff. ok. what's the deal besides the rose bowl money. nobody watches the parade. |

Look how weak most teams are this season. Hawaii has played a schedule somewhat similar to Boston College thus far and not all that worse than OSU. OSU and BC figure to be #1 and #2 tomorrow, so why shouldn't Hawaii get a bcs at large shot?

I'm not comparing Hawaii to OSU, or Hawaii to Boston College (who I think is overrated, frankly.), i'm comparing Hawaii to Hawaii, and when your scheduling teams like that, and not blowing them out, you don't deserve it. At least when these teams schedule these **** teams, they're beating them handly, not struggling with them.
