Top 10 Reasons NCAA beats out NFL
1. The Overtime
2. Reviews for Close Calls 3. More Games 4. More Bowl Games 5. More REAL Rivals 6. Less Drama 7. More Playbook Variety 8. More Pride 9. No sitting starters just beacuse of a bye into the playoffs 10. One Foot Inbounds... Now with the force out gone in the NFL, they should really look at getting this in the NFL to balance things out...

I dont like NFL overtime that much either...
I love the Saints and I will watch playoff games but I will watch just about any college game. The atmosphere, the bands, the rivals. I just love college football

Hey man... I agree with the bowls, but have you actuely sat and watched them. This year, every single bowl game was amazing... But I still think they need a playoff format... I came up with this format where it could all work as well... As of right now, they have 34 bowl games, they're talking of adding 2 more for 36. The winners of all of the bowls go on to meet the other winners of another bowl. The winners of the BIG four bowls (Cotton, BCS, Orange, Rose)all get a first round bye, leaving 32 teams. After that, work their way down, 16, 8, 4, 2 ALL TIME MEGA NCAA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS!!! And all the people that support the bowls get their games, plus we get another 4 weeks of college football, complete with a less debatable champion... It's a glorious idea!

That sounds like the greatest thing ive heard in a long time. But their could be a problem with that. This means that at some time teams like central michigan are going against teams like Texas and Alabama at some point.

And who would have though ten years ago that Xavier would have beaten Duke or some of the other power house baskteball programs out there in the Final Four trounament... It fills the seats to see the "little guys" take on the "big uglies"... Ever since David and Goliath my friend(not a real story, but you get the drift)...

NFL blows away College Football. Not even close!!!!!
I agree on the overtime. I think you could come up with an even better plan than College has, but I hate overtime in the NFL. A f**king coin flip. They have got to change it. but there are so many things I hate about college football.... I hate the bowls - what is the point with most of them? I hate the lopsided games. I hate that every year you have so many new players (as opposed to the NFL) I can go on and on, but nothing comes close to the NFL, nothing! |

Division 1 is by far one of the most even sporting leagues in North America, if not the world... Serious! Sure there are like 4 power schools, but due to the rotation of players, all schools get "down" years. The NFL on the other hand, no so much pareity as they were hoping for in recent years... You always get the same bottom 6 teams, with the same top 4 almost every single year. So with that being said, 4 power schools out of 300+ division one teams in the country, vs. 4 power teams in a 32 teams league and I think you see where I'm going with this... The rotation of players is what makes the league what it is... It's an amazing system because it keeps thing fresh. Some people like the fact that they can have one guy for like 10 years, but it's always interesting to see if the new guys in town can make something happen, which is why the DRAFT is such a huge draw, it's something new and unknown. Besides, the history, the pagentry, the playbooks and everything else that I've listed are all true... There is so much more that counts in the NCAA. Heck NFL people are all still freaked out about the "Wildcat!" "Oh my God! It's the Wildcat", where as it isn't even half as interesting as some of the more tame offences in the NCAA. BTW, the Wildcat is just a variance of what's been called the Wing Option... It isn't new, though everybody thinks it is... Been around for years in fact...

3 letters--
B. C. S. Also known as Bogus Champion Selection. It's nice to get drunk at the tailgate and get all painted up in the alma mater's colors, but the "national champion" might as well be chosen by throwing a dart at the dartboard--if only 20 teams are on that dartboard.
