Oregon's OC Gary Crowton to run LSU's offense

ESPN.com - NCF - LSU names Oregon's Crowton offensive coordinator
This is the dumbest move that LSU could possibly have made. Oh well, i'm glad to see Crowton gone. I have a feeling he's gonna screw up the LSU program like he did BYU and Oregon.

Sorry i listed the wrong link heres the real story.

I think that spread could work really well with Perrilloser.

Crowton's spread looks great for awhile and then defenses catch on. As i'm sure both OregonDuckFan and LLD73 can atest to.... Crowton's playcalling becomes so transparent that everyone knows what he's going to run before the team even breaks the huddle. Trust me LSU fans will be calling for his head within the next couple seasons.... it happened at BYU.... their fans tried to tell us Duck fans we didn't listen and it happened to us.... I'm saying without a doubt this is the dumbest move LSU has EVER made.

When Crowton was at BYU, we played them in the Liberty Bowl. We had a kid name Broderick Clark that was a hell of a kick-off returner and was in the top five in the nation in ko returns. BYU kicks of to Clark and he comes darn near breaking the opening KO for TD. Later on the the first half, BYU kicks off agian to Clark and this time the kicker makes a TD saving tackle. Well.... after BYU scores early in the 3rd to take the lead or tie it up.... My buddy looks over at me and says "they better not kick it to Clark this time!".....Crowton AGAIN kicks away to Clark, who this time takes it to the house..BALLGAME. What a friggin dumazz.

That sounds typical of Crowton. I believe he had one good season at BYU 10-1 or something like that. It think it was his first season after that he stunk it up but good. His first season at Oregon we went 10-2.... this season he blew it down the stretch and we finished 7-6. Next season at LSU i bet he'll start of gangbuster.... by year 2 those SEC defenses will know what Crowton's all about and punish the LSU offense.
