Louisville/West Virginia Matchup

This is the game I've been waiting for all year! I kind of like the way that all of the so called experts are picking West Virginia. I like being the underdog at home, espcially when we've won 15 in row in "The Oven".
I think it will be a tight game, but I think the difference could be our sophomore WR Mario Urrutia. He's a big time receiver and got snubbed for the Biletnikoff Award.

I'm ready for this one. Hopefuly the winner gets more national attention. I like WVU in a close shootout.

I like our chances at home. We've only lost one game at home since Coach Petrino has taken over from John L. Smith. If we play with same intensity level that we did against Miami, I think WVU may be in trouble. Miami has alot of talent, especially on defense. Their problem is their offensive line is horrible. Our d-line completely dominated the line of scrimmage and they couldn't pick up a blitz to save their lives. While Miami is down, nobody has manhandled them the way Louisville did.

This is going to be the game of the week.

Who is the best of the Big East?

I say Rutgers, but we'll have to wait and find out.

I'm not sure how you come up with Rutgers being better than Louisville and WVU atthis point, but all of these teams are getting ready to prove it on the field in the coming weeks. I guess all of the one-loss teams are hoping they beat up on each other. Other than the obvious tough games with Louisville and WVU, Rutgers still has to go play at Cincinnati, who has a very good run defense and is getting better as the year goes on. Cincinnati gave Ohio State more trouble than any of the Big Ten teams have.

Louisville beat Rutgers 56-5 last year at Papa John's.

Rutgers is NOT the best team in the Big East. Not this year.

Personally, I want Louisville to win this game. Why? So they can come to Piscataway, lose to Rutgers, and then it'll come down to a crucial matchup as an undefeated Rutgers (I am assuming they don't blow the Syracuse and Cincinatti games) faces off with a WV team with at least one loss.

The Big East title is certainly within Rutgers' grasp. But it's going to take a lot of things to go Rutgers' way.

last year doesn't always work tho. in 92 bama beat everybody. hasn't happened since then tho. people seem to pick their favorites over another team cause of being bias. i think louisville is a pretty dang good team. tho WV has an edge. but i like louisville best. sorry guys.

I'm not saying that Louisville will win becuase of what happened last year, but I was at that Rutgers game last year and it was a beat down. That being said, road games scare me more than anything. If we will against WVU, I will definitely be worried about thr Rutgers game.
I think Rutgers is going to have a tough time winning at Cincinnati. The Bearcats have been getting better as the year goes on, and have a pretty stout defense.

Dropped Passes, 7+ Fumbles, Tripping over your own feet in open field... neither team looked like a National Contender... but Congrats to Cardsfan, his team atleast has a shot at it

Back from the BIG game...What an awesome performance by QB Brian Brohm. This guy has been a big game QB since the 8th grade! I sure a lot of people is going to think our defense looked suspect, but until you have witnessed WVU's running attack live and in person, you just don't understand how difficult it is to stop. I guess the folks from Georgia know. It is really hard to see who has the ball, and Slaton and White are as elusive as anybody you'll see. WR #2 ain't bad either.
WVU's weak spot is the secondary, and they got exposed tonight. Also, our special teams finally came up with a big play this year!

Your congrats would seems alot better if you didn't lob a couple of pot shots first. Every game I've watched this year has had some fumbles, stumbles and dropped passes. Do you think Texas' awesome pass defense would slow down Louisville's passing attack? That would be far from a sure thing.
Face it man, Texas had their chance and blew it. Get over it!

We could blow it on the road at Rutgers or Pitt. Another key injury here or there, you never know. There's still alot of football left to be played. If we win out and don't get a chance, it will be heartbreaking and unfair.

CAN WE GET A PLAYOFF!
