They lost to Pitt with him last year and blew a sure NC bid. What difference will it make this year?

I believe they will be ok or at least hope. I know these new coaches are recruiting very well but can they actually coach?
Only time will tell with these guys and I hope they do not have a Louisville type of year. |

My Prediction Bad. Ending up Loosing to Pitt at the end of the season was a joke. Loosing Rich Rod. Definitaly not a BCS Bowl for WVU next year.

WVU is WAYYYYY better than any other team in the Big East! However, that hasnt stopped them from losing to them. (USF and Pitt) The funny thing is, the only teams who beat WVU are in conference teams. Every time WVU play a non-conference opponent, they destroy them! That includes Oklahoma, and Georgia. WVU is good enough to beat anyone in the country with ease. That's right, I said it, WITH EASE. They are also just inconsistant enough in the conference to lose to a team they should crush. WVU were 42 point favorites over Pitt last year for a reason. They should have beat Pitt by 40 points. Instead, they found a way to lose to them.

West Virginia will be in a BCS game this season and in all honesty I could easily see them running the table and making it to the NCG. Georgia, USC, OSU, UF, OU all have multiple big time games and all should have at least 1 loss by seasons end. West Virginia has some big games as well but seem to me to be the most likely top 10 team to run the table.

More of the same. West Virginia, with it's very good, but very predictable offense will win the Big East, but lose two games in the process. They have proven that they have no consistancy. They are really hot a National Champinship caliber team becuse of that.

I think they have a real shot at running the table, but let's face it. New coach = at least some new ideas, which can incidentally water down an offensive strategy, no matter how high-powered. Also, Reynaud is gone, leaving Pat White without his favorite downfield target.
However, after watching their opener, I have high hopes. They're developing White's passing game, which can only be a plus, since it makes him more of a weapon. Remember, White had less than half the passing yards of any other QB that was considered a Heisman contender last year. His running ability is great, but like Tebow, he needs to develop his passing. This takes pressure off the running game and the defense, as it allows for big plays without getting your stud at QB multiple chances to get injured. I can see WVU getting the NCG, but they'll need to solidify their gameplan and open it up a little. |

After watching this ECU game, WVU is going downhill. Pat White has no recievers. He throws lasers all day and each reciever let's it tip off their hands, leading to INT and incompletions. Wide recievers are horrible. Cincy will compete with WVU, Rutgers also. Last stat I saw Pat White had 37 passing yards, 77 rushing. Having no TD's doesn't help you win games. Biggest problem they have is defense just horrible. Their corners are soft they have one good player in Reed Williams. WVU days on top are depleting very fast. If I was Devine I would transfer.

Like I said, West Virginia will win the Big East, but have at least two losses. Maybe more now.

Well I'm goning to reply half way through WV and Colorado....WV needs despratly to find a passing game. White can still run and Devine is going to be great. But they need more than one dimension. If they keep going downhill Coach Stewart is going to have a rough tenure.
