Big East Predictions

What are your predictions for the Big East? Yahoo! predicts the following:
1. West Virginia
2. Louisville
3. Rutgers
4. Pittsburgh
5. South Florida
6. Connecticut
7. Cincinnati
8. Syracuse

What do you think? I thought that Syracuse might have been up there a bit higher.

I still get really bummed that there are only 8 teams in this conference for football. There are literally twice as many teams in this conference in basketball. I just want to see more competition in this conference, I mean, a BCS bid will be given to whomever wins this conference, even if they are unranked some year.

My predictions are pretty much the same as Yahoo!'s. Hopefully WV will go really far this year, and I want Rutgers to do well too. I say rutgers and WV play at Alumni Stadium last year and they are both good teams.

Syracuse football makes me want to cry.

Your lacrosse team is good, though.

Arizona Cardinals Big East Predictions

West Virginia taking it all is a long shot. With Louisville's #1 offense and talented defense being led by a fully recovered and motivated Brian Brohm, they will take the Big East title. Don't worry West Virginia fans, there will always be a next season.

No question Louisville in big east. They will handle WVU and go undefeated.

The biger question is can they pass up a one loss team like Texas, SC or Michigan to play in the big game??? I believe only OSU will go undefeated and it will be a BCS mess again!!!!

Go louisville, Go Boise State

But most of all...OU still sucks!

WVU plays their own game. I don't believe that we have seen the fast paced hurry up offense yet. They haven't had to use it. With the different speeds they can run I believe they are going to wear down the Loui 'D' and score big. I do have to question WVU's D backs against Loui... it will, in my opinion, be a high scoring game by the time the clock hits zero.

Well...

I see Pittsburgh as the darkhorse this year in the Big East...With so much focus on the the three unbeaten teams...Pitt(6-1) has sort of gone un-noticed...While it is a longshot that they will win the conference...I do believe that they have the potential to throw a monkey-wrench into the mix...All four teams have yet to play eachother...

Tyler Palko is quite a competent senior QB...

His stats this year: (His QB rating is the best in the nation)

ATT - YDS - CMP% - YDS/A - TD - INT - RAT
114/161 - 1661 - 70.8 - 10.32 - 17 - 3 - 188.6

I agree. Rutgers faces Pittsburgh this weekend and I'm worried that they will hand the Knights their first loss. The game is in their house and they are very talented. The Knights have a good defense, but Palko has been a beast so far. The game will either elevate Rutgers to brand new heights or turn Pittsburgh into a Top 25 team.
