9-3 for the Huskers. I would have predicted a lower record if Sam Keller didnt transfer.

If they play to their potential, then 11-1, 10-2. I don't see the Huskers pulling out the W in Texas, but i could see the upset of USC when they roll into Memorial Stadium. If Purify isn't in trouble and Keller stays healthy I could see the Huskers finishing in the top 10.

If Sam Keller can thrive off Callahans west coast offense, NU could thrive as a team. We could see them in the BCS this year.

I have them at 10 - 2 with losses to USC and Texas. Should be the be beginning of the rebirth of a storied program....Only this time not through the ground but rather through the air. I think Callahan will be a great recruiter of west coast skill posistion players ultimately.

I went the same way. Should be interesting to see if they can really play to their potential this year. An upset of USC would be very, very nice, but I'm not holding my breath. No lower than 9-3 this year though.

That USC Nebraska game might be one of the best all year.

It could very easily be lower than 9-3, actually. Playing Wake Forest away is a very difficult game, one the Huskers could easily lose, Riley Skinner has proven that he does not beat his own team. The only reason that Nebraska has a chance in the USC game is because it's in Lincoln, USC is the more talented team and should win. Texas in Austin will be very difficult to win. Then there's the trip to Missouri, who is the favorite to win the Big 12 North and has beaten Nebraska in its last two trips to Columbia. Texas A&M isn't an easy win, and neither is Oklahoma State (but I meant to vote for a Nebraska win over the Cowboys, the guy creating this poll accidentally put Oklahoma instead of Oklahoma State.)

If it all breaks right for the Huskers, they could put together a 10-win season. But with how difficult that schedule is, I think the Huskers only manage eight wins this year, and it is not inconceivable that they win less if they don't play well against the Cowboys and Aggies.

I dont know about Wake man. Last season was most likely a fluke. Also consider how small a stadium they play in and the lack of fan support Wake has endored throughout time. You could be right but i seriously doubt Wake gets within 10 points.

We'll see. Wake Forest plays smart, tough football, and could easily beat the Huskers. Usually, the team that turns the ball over fewer is going to win, and almost nobody is better at avoiding turnovers than Riley Skinner, who I believe threw just five interceptions last season.

Plus, even though the stadium is small, noise can still come from 31,000 in a smaller area. Wake should have great home support after the ACC championship, and I will be very surprised if the Deacons fail to stay within one score of Nebraska.

Groves stadium is gonna be like a home game, over half the crowd will be red. They quit selling tickets to Nebraska fans cause they were buying them all up but I agree it will be no easy game, just hope they don't overlook the Deacons.

I wouldn't doubt it but they just extended AD Pederson's contract to 5 more years and unless he gets fired which I hope he does, Callahan is not going anywhere.
