The Longhorns have enough weapons returning to challenge for their second national title in three seasons

Texas Longhorns
Spring practice starts: Feb. 28

now that's commitment ... we're the only team to start in Feb ... That's why we're the class of the Big XII ... while the Faggies and Sucklahoma Sooners are eating twinkies and getting all soft. The Longhorns are donning their war paint and preparing for Battle ... just another reason why i like Mack Brown so much.

I am not so sure about the Longhorns winning the Big 12, or the national championship........Some polls have them out of the top 10......dickr

Just talk from two average Texas fans, who think that Texas is the greatest team on earth. Texas has little chance of winning the National Championship. They do not have talent to do so. The main reason why people pick Texas so high is because of their unbelieveably soft schedule which features such powerhouses as Arkansas State, TCU Rice and a road trip to mighty UCF. This typicaly soft non-con schedule is the ONLY way Texas has a chance to be in the running for national honors. What Texas fans fail to realize is that their secondary was horrid last year, and they lost three starters from that group. They also lost both DE's. So Texas can be scored on, and often, as K-State proved. McCoy also gets to look forward to the fact that he gets a new Center and two new Guards to keep rushing linemen away from what is now clearly a fraglile body. Texas will win it's share of games, but they have nothing to compare with the real national powers, LSU, Wisconsin, USC, Florida, and others. They do not even have the best "Colt" at QB.

pretty sure we just got the NUMBER 1 RB coming to OU baby, and the #3 WR, both in the top ESPN 150. think ut got a guard or somthin..... ut needs to get a qb.. cant do anything with a qb that throws 5 int's average a game...

8-3 at best. Not as many weapons as in the past.
