Calling for Callahan's job
For those who watched the Cotton bowl I have to say Callahan's play calling is horrible 4 and 1 on there own 20 and he calls for a fake punt why not just line up and go for it with Brandon Jackson he only averaged 9 yards a carry in the game but no lets run Marlon Lucky the whole game and forget about what Jacksons done c'mon Callahan's killing me

As a CU fan I pray for Callahan's job security. Nebraska made the switch because they felt tey wouldn't be able to get recruits running the opton especially after Eric Crouch's epic flame out at the pro level. |

there are so many guys who can run that type of offense, it won them numerous big 12 titles and a few NC.....i don't think NU really cares all that much about them being successful at the pro level, they just care about winning

Callahan can't adjust during season. Gruden leaves the Raiders, after a whole year of running the team he meets the old coach in the super bowl and hasn't changed the adibles or play book. It must have been like cheatng on a test for the Bucs.

In the eighties there was allways talk that osborne couldn't win the big one with three yards and a cloud of dust. Option football would never win a championship, the 90's proved you can win with the option.......with good personel and coaching. this AHOLE A.D. thinks WCO makes it easier to recruit is b.s. we used to have our nitch that brought in great O linemen, backs, tight ends option qbs now we are competing more with USC, Florida schools. If you were 18 would you rather have a beach or a corn field and snow out your window

However judging by the ratings Recruiting doesn't seem to be a problem. Other teams win with the west coast and proir to the switch the Huskers were losing with the option. Quote:
