i think thats good for there program because he is a proven winner ! but i still feel like in the big games they will fall short because they aren't really concirtered a big time program yet. i just think they will have a good game plan but they wont have the players to compete yet! but good luck any way

TTU's Defense for 2009
![]() Leach is a great offensive coach. As head coach at TTU, however, I feel that he has somewhat neglected Tech's defense. Tech has shown a weak pass rush in their last three games from 2008 season. That is the reason they gave up 140 points in those last three games, losing two of them, and barely getting by Baylor on their home turf. If all that is not bad enough, they have lost four DEs since the end of last season who were expected to play this year. Two were starters, one a two deep backup and the other a freshman. I was disappointed that Tech's DC, Ruffin McNeal did not bring in a couple of seasoned DEs from JUCOs after last season. Tech will do well this season, but late in the season, I think that the lack of depth in the DL will show and we'll see a lot of high-scoring games with teams that Tech should beat easily. Tech's DL is lucky to have Colby Whitlock, perhaps the best in the Big 12 at his position, but even with his leadership, I fear that Tech's pass rush is going to leave a lot to be desired due to lack of depth, particularly at the DEs. I have been a Tech fan since they entered the old SWC, but when I see something I don't like, I'll say it. This habit does not please some, but I will point out areas where Tech needs improvement as well as where they look good. Some think that only "nice" things should be said on these forums, but if that is true, I will soon be kicked off. |

QB Troubles at Tech
![]() Leach's top three QBs all have had injury problems (Potts, concussion; Sheffield (fractured foot); Doege (two torn ACLs--played one quarter vs KSU, first action since sophomore in HS). Leach has two very talented QBs in red-shirt freshman Stefan Loucks and true freshman Jacob Karam on the roster, and one unknown, Garrett Riley. Leach seems to use a "seniority system" in selecting starting QBs. I wish he would start using the "Healthy and talented" criteria. |

"We talked about not listening to our fat, little girlfriends. We said we're not going to compare (Kansas State) scores," Leach said. "Well, ha, ha, ha. Hee, hee, hee.
"I'd like to have a dollar for every time somebody said how many points we're going to score. It's all a bunch of crap. We got what we deserved. ... If it was easy, I'd be coaching the Swedish bikini team." LMAO!

And now he's gone..... Tech is stupid cause now they gonna fall to a sub-.500 team and they only got rid of him because of monetary issues and political pressure from that douche Craig James..... Everything they've claimed so far has proven false. Good luck to Mike Leach, IMO he's a stand up coach and from all his players that have spoken they've had his back.
