I agree he's a good pickup but I would really like to see russell get another chance. I honestly think he is do for a breakout year- just slower maturing then people had hoped. I think a open competition would be fair. This should be interesting....

AFC West looks like it's going to be a whole different division this year.

AFC West will be very interesting this year and quite possibly might be the toughest division now

Yeah, I bet there will be some good divisional showdowns between those 4 teams. Kind of like the AFC East last year.

The bookie at bodog gave the betting odds 200/1 on the raiders winning the super bowl next year. I know to some people that might sound about right but they gave the lions 100/1 odds (?) So they are saying the lions are twice as likely as the raiders to win the super bowl next year That just don't sound right to me.

I put $2.50 down on them. I know I wont see that money again but if hell freezes over and the raiders win that's $250.00 in my pocket

The Raiders will be a better team this year I think they can go 7-9 next year if McFadden cant stay healthy.

What moves have they made to make themselves any better? I know they have the 7th pick but they'll probably waste it on a WR instead of some D-line help.

I think they could pull that off too. They seem to be getting a little better every year and Mcfadden really could be a difference maker.

Bodog sucks. Use betus.
Anyways, those lines don't make a lick a sense to me either!

Agreed all they need is to monitor Russel's throw a bit more. As many of you saw the Raiders put alot of weight on his shoulders immediately but never really gave him anything to throw at.

Garcia's gettin old anyways. Russell's a decent qb, the problem is that the rest of the team isn't.

Russell is still on the rise while Garcia is at the end of his career. No team with any hope for the future will bench Russell for Garcia.

Random triva... in their last 4 games:
-Garcia had 1 game with a QB rating over 75
-Russell had 1 game with a QB rating below 85

Garcia should be the back-up.

Russell showed a lot of improvment towards the end. He's got a cannon arm and is a giant compared to other QBs so he isn't proned to injury or easy to take down.

I really want to see him get the chance to start then if things get sour Garcia is a good back up.
