Anyone think either of these guys will have huge years? I think they will split a lot of time and both have productive and very similar years. Nothing special, and definiltey not the level James put up last year, but still respectable.

Both will do well on an offense that will be on autopilot and still own everyone. However, the Colts need to win in the playoffs. The window's gonna close before too long. It has to be this year.

I really like Rhodes. I think he could be close to James' numbers if they give him the ball enough times. If rushing helps the passing game you can say that a good passing game can really help to get big rushing plays for good gain and with Manning has your QB you know that the passing game won't be a problem. The Colts are set on offense and on defense they now have to win in the playoffs.

yeah....it would take a really horrible running back to have a bad season with this powerful passing offense. if you remember rhodes had a 1000 yard season his rookie year when edge got hurt and he didn't play all 16 games. rhodes is better than people give him credit for but i hope adai is just as good or better. i would like to see them share roles. my concern is the defense. we got a lot better last year but have lost some good players. but im optimistic about it

Addai may have more talent, but Rhodes should see slightly more carries mainly due to experience.
My thought is that by season's end, one of the two will emerge as the clear-cut No.1 RB, with the committee approach unnecessary beyond 06-07

I like Rhodes more than Addai. Rhodes has shown flashes of great play these past few seasons but never had a real chance at showing his true form with Edge always set as the starter. Now that he's out, I believe Rhodes will take this opportunity and run with it.
I do have a feeling though that if he isn't successful running the ball in the first couple games of the season, the Colts are going to start passing the ball way too much. I could see them becoming more of a one-dimensional team if Rhodes/Addai don't step up for them. It's really up to Indy to stay patient and show some faith in their running game. Rhodes is a capable starter who just needs some carries to show what he's all about. |

I like Rhodes allot as one of our backs. I just dont think he has the speed to be the starter for us. Addai has shown that he cah hti the holes fast and hard and thats what I like to see out of our backs. he also is the faster of the backs. James was not as fast as Addai and never had that big run speed we needed. Addai has REALLY impressed the coaching staff with how fast he has picked up the offense and his pass blocking. Which is HUGE for a back in our system. I think Addai will be named the starter after the bye week in week 6. Just my $0.02.
