Vince Young..what is going on.

Titans' Young reportedly questioning desire to play football

It seems to me, that vince is learning the hard way what it takes to be a QB in the NFL. This aint college, where he can just tuck and run when he is pressured.

After reading the article, and hearing that fisher had to badger him to get back into the game, it's clear that he doesn't have the mental capacity to play in this leauge.

He's got issues..for sure.

Didn't he say he was going to retire after his rookie year? As far as the mental capacity goes, didn't he score low on the Wonderlic?

If Vince wants to play, and work hard to get through tough times, he can turn it around. He played like crap last week, and some last year, but I really think a lot of his frustration is that he had leg injuries last year, and last week. When Vince is immobile, he is very ineffective. I think the reason the boos are getting tom him so bad, is that he knows he could show those people the real Vince Young, but he is unable to avoid tacklers, and take off for first downs when the defensive coverage is good. Don't get me wrong, he has been here or there accuracy wise at times as well, but I have no doubt that he can easily be better than he was his rookie year when healthy just due to his experience. No need to rush him back. The Titans will better on offense than they were in week 1 with Kerry Collins. I also highly doubt Vince would continue to play like he did last Sunday if healthy later in the year. I might point out that we have an excellent head coach, and good team chemistry to help Vince. I'm not nearly as worried about all this crap as most people seem to be.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans quarterback Vince Young insists he never wavered in his commitment to football.

Young

All that concern over his mental state? He says he was upset as he dealt with his first serious injury, and he didn't realize he had to tell his mother where he was going anymore.
Then the media went overboard.
Young spoke publicly Thursday for the first time since Titans coach Jeff Fisher called police for help in locating the quarterback Monday night because of concerns over his emotional well-being. His mother, Felicia Young, also told a local newspaper that the quarterback had indicated he didn't want to play football anymore because of all the negativity he faced.
Young took questions from reporters for 16 minutes after watching his teammates practice. His message? Don't question his commitment.
"Football, this is my life. This is my dream. All I did all these years growing up to get to this point and never had an injury like this before in my life," he said.
"It's a hard time because I'm a competitor, and I definitely want to be out on the football field with my teammates."
