If you think that, then pull your head out and educate yourself.
Williams has played next to Alled for all of 4 games. Haynesworth has played next to VDB virtually his entire career. At DT, Pat Williams has only been around for a few years. Kevin Williams put up 10+ sacks multiple times before he arrived. Insuinuating that Kevin Williams is a product of his situation makes no sense. Kevin Williams was named an All-Pro when he was playing with Hovan, Johnson, Mixon and Udeze. Even with Haynesworth "nobody can match it play..." Kevin Williams had more sacks in his 1st two season than Haynesworth has had in his entire 7-year career. Kevin is also FAR more adapt at batting down passes. To even put Haynesworth on that same level would show blind igorance. That all goes along with being an anchor on the best run defense in the league. When Haynesworth notches 10+ sacks or returns 2 INTs for TDs, then you can say he is better than Williams. Until then, your fanboy claims are just laughable.

Playing next to above average players does have its advantages, and disadvantages. Sure it helps get closer to the QB, but it also takes away from your own stats. With playing next to better players, it's going to spread the stats around the line, not just give it to that single person. Being KVB, and Haynesworth are the better of the Titans D-Line so most of stats are going to be spread between them 2 instead of throughout the entire line. Not taking or giving anything to either or, but its true.

KVB - 3 sacks Tony Brown - 3.5 sacks Jevon Kearse - 1.5 sacks Albert Haynesworth - 5 sacks Seems like it's being spread pretty even as of now. Unless I am misreading your post in some way. ![]() |

I have to apologize. I thought you were more than just some homer fanboy and actually understood the sport. My mistake.

Haha, you keep calling me the homer when I am presenting facts and stats to support my argument..... Sounds to me like you're the homer... 03' - 51 tackles and 10.5 sacks 04' - 70 tackles and 11.5 sacks 06' 07' - 74 tackles 8 sacks Same level? I think not.... While he is still stout as hell against the run, he isn't on Haynesworth's level. |

Talk about stats all u want. There is no doubt that teams are far more afraid of Albert Haynesworth than any other defensive tackle in the league. Any offensive coach in the league would tell u that. If they were both free agents at the same time, Albert Haynesworth would no doubt end up the highest paid DT in the league. He will be after this season. Hopefully, it will be with the Titans. Kevin is great, no doubt about it, but someone has to be the all around best, and that is Haynesworth. Like it or not, agree with it or not.

Back to the topic of this thread. Everyone had the Titans battling with the Texans for third in the AFC South this year.
Titans 4-0 Jaguars 2-2 Colts 1-2 Texans 0-3 I rest my case. Say what u want about Haynesworth. Say what u want about the Titans defense. I was right about the Titans being overlooked. There is no denying that.

Kevin Williams was named as an All-Pro DT last. In fact, he has been an All-Pro for 3 of the past 4 seasons (1st team All-Pro the past 2 seasons):
2007 NFL All-Pro roster ESPN - 2006 All-Pro Team - NFL 2004 All-Pro Team - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This past summer, USA Today named Williams the best DT in the game. Best run stuffer? Finding the best defensive tackle in the NFL - USATODAY.com Hmm... Seems like some other people disagree with Kevin Williams not being on Haynesworth level. If you think Williams level of play has fallen off, then you need to educate yourself on how the game is played. Watch him for one game and you would know better. Hard to give any validity to a claim that the player named as one of the 2 best DTs in the game for 3 of the past 4 seasons is in decline or doesn't belong in the same sentance as a johnny-come-lately like Haynesworth. The real facts here is that two fanboys are getting their panties in a bunch because not everyone creams themselves over Haynesworth like they do. Haynesworth isn't this uber-icon that nobody can touch. He is one of the best DTs in the game, but there are SEVERAL who can make that claim and none are so far ahead of the rest. All of these claims that Haynesworth is head-and-shoulders above the rest or that no other DT is on his level are equal parts laughable and ignorant.
