Indy to host Super Bowl in 2012 - Page 2

i think every city with a team that is capable of hosting a SB should get the chance. if they want more warm weather places than cold weather then so be it. if the NFL really wants it to be warm then have the SB in april. these columnist are so dumb. they need to get over it. indy is going to be way better than detroit. i hope indy changes the way the NFL thinks about "cold weather" cities hosting the SB.

I just hope the Dolphins have the ship righted by then. I've been to Indy for a Final Four. Good times. Can't wait to cheer on the Tuna in Indy!

Indy may deserve the game, but it is a lousy place to have a Spuerbowl. Better than Detroit, (but then again, ANY city is better than Detroit), but a lousy city. You want decent to good weather for your superbowl week so the fans can enjoy all the attractions that the NFL puts on. It also helps if the city has something more to offer than a big piece of asphalt two 1/2 miles long that sits empty all year except for a handful of races.

wow have you been to indy? there is way more to it then the 500. by the way is the biggest venue in the world. its an event that has things going on for the whole month of may. and soon may be the only track that has all 4 of the major race events the world has. that alone makes this city great. but there are other things too. an awesome zoo, the largest children's museum i know of, 3 pro sports teams, 2 of which (pacer and fever) play in the number 1 rated sports venue (conseco fieldhouse) of all the 4 major sports (football, baseball, basketball and hockey), the other (colts) are debuting in the newest state-of-the-art football stadium. there are also two minor league sports teams (indiapolis indians and indiana ice) that do pretty good for themselves. a great art museum. a giant convention center (that is only going to get bigger and better) that host almost every large convention. a giant mall downtown with an art garden inside that is connected to pretty much every surrounding building. this city has everything any other middle size city has and some things other cities can't compete with. so don't knock indy. its going to be a great city to host the SB. if you are there in 2012 and it sux. let me know.

I think that new stadium is very nice but it seems more like a basketball arena. But very nice. I do however, like Reliant a little better. Not sure what it looks like inside though.

As for SB destinations, there's no place like Miami
