Jacksonville Jaguars Jones-Drew better than Reggie Bush

Absolutley, Jones-Drew is stronger, just as fast, if not faster and turns nothing into something all the time, he's a playmaker and as a Jags fan I am thankful to have him on my roster.

He takes pressure off Fred Taylor, allowing him to get some extra rest, since Drew has come to Jacksonville, Taylor has been running better and better, just recently surpassing 10,000 career yards, this season alone he rushed for about 1900 yards.

I know Saints fans are gonna want to crucify me, but what does everyone else think?

I am very impressed with Jones-Drew. He tore the Steelers apart when we played the Jags. He is very quick, strong, and the fact that he is shorter, he is hidden behind all those big lineman so he sneaks on by. I like him.

athletically bush is better IMO, but jones-drew has learned how to run in the NFL. he knows to go up the field on run plays instead of dancin around in the backfield. if bush ever figures that out, he'll be as good or better than jones-drew.

p.s. i'm a huge jones-drew fan

Oh and on occasion he can apparently knock the phack out of premier rushing linebacker... I don't think we'll see that from Mr. Bush any time soon...

It's not a fair comparison... they aren't the same player. I get what you are saying though... if I was running a team and you give me a choice between those 2 guys I take Mojo. I think Bush can be effective but he will be a hybird RB/WR position. He will never be a true or priemer RB in this league, Mojo is.

As of now MJD has outperformed Bush but I'd take Bush for the long haul. Once he harnesses his potential and comes into his own, he'll be a dangerous weapon. He's a jack of all trades and can be effective from almost anywhere on the field. Don't get me wrong, MJD is a damn good back but he's not as versatile as Bush.

I feel bad for LT, he's not with the right team anymore, he isnt a threat to teams any longer, defenses know how to play him. They (chargers) may be better off without him, see the last two playoff games, they played well.

I think a lot of people would agree with you, but some may not see as I do because I am a Jaguars fan and watched them every weekend, Jones Drew has the strength and plays with a chip on his shoulder, wears the number 32 for all the teams who passed on him, I still think he is underrated because the Jaguars aren't the most popular team, which is why Fred Taylor hasnt been to a pro-bowl until this year and he has surpassed 10,000 career yards rushing. My hope is Jacksonville will get the respect they deserve.

Your not going to see Reggie knocking out Sean Merriman anytime soon!

New York Jets Jones-Drew

If I had a choice between the two, right now, I'd say Jones-Drew.

Reggie Bush - 157 CAR, 581 YDS, 4 TDs *missed 4 games
2006 - 155 CAR, 565 TDS, 6 TDs
Maurice Jones-Drew - 167 CAR, 768 YDS, 9 TDs *missed 1 game
2006 - 166 CAR, 941 YDS, 13 TDs

Just some stats if anyone wanted to see them to compare.

As of now it isn't much of a contest at all. Call me a homer if you want but I consider myself an unbiased observer.

The big difference is Jones-Drew is PHYSICAL despite his lack of height. He even laid out Merriman once. MJD is short, stocky, powerful and explosive. Whereas Bush is explosive but when there is contact he goes down easily and he hasn't proven he can take it between the tackles.
