MJD is better but the coaches know how to use him. Sean Payton is still tryin to figure out how to use Bush. I wanna see how MJD does without Fred Taylor for a whole year like Bush did this year without Deuce than we can have a real comparison. But if I needed a pure running back for my team...i go Maurice Jones Drew

Only reason I get on Taylor about his injuries was that he killed my fantasy team for years by not staying on the field. I really like him though and he's quite fun to watch, I was very impressed with his season this year.

Even with Taylor MJD still hasn't rushed for under 700 yards in both seasons and Bush doesn't even have a single 600 yard season.

AGREED!! bush is a very good football player, but because of all the hype he put out in college he'll never EVER be good in some peoples eyes. if he puts up solid numbers like he did his rookie year, then he's definitly worth the 2nd pick

Stat wise his rookie year was worst then last season and he played 4 more games that season. I would say so far he's not even worthy as a 3rd round pick but I think he will only get better so don't worry.

You could even make the case that Maurice Jones-Drew is the best player to come out of that 2006 draft....just stating.
Is he better than Reggie Bush? At this point, most definitely, all you have to do is look at his production.

They are two different players. Drew is the better back, but can not do nearly as much as Bush. Bush, can not carry the ball as much as Drew, but can catch it, return punts, etc... Both have to be used correctly. We will see how long Drew lasts this season without help. He got battered about in his last season at UCLA without any help in the backfield. Dropped from a first rounder to a second rounder. Bush needs the bruiser in his backfield to be successful.
