The big difference is Jones-Drew is PHYSICAL despite his lack of height. He even laid out Merriman once. MJD is short, stocky, powerful and explosive. Whereas Bush is explosive but when there is contact he goes down easily and he hasn't proven he can take it between the tackles.

You forgot to add that Reggie Bush has been laid out, unlike MJD.

Bush was damn near split in half.

YouTube - Sheldon Brown big hit on Reggie Bush

MJD KO'd Merriman.

YouTube - Shawne Merriman gets BLOWN UP by MJD

I do believe MJD is better, but give Reggie some time to get some experience.

I honestly don't see what is so special in MJD's block against Merriman.

Yes, Drew got lower and knocked Merriman to his ass, but it happens in every NFL game. This time it just happened to be with a midget blocking a roided freak.

Right now, I would say Drew is better. In the future, who knows. Just as much as you say Bush has McAllister, you could say Drew has F. Taylor...

MJD can put a game on his shoulders if he needs to. Bush needs someone in the back field with him. I don't see Reggie tearing his backfield up anytime soon and that's probably why Duece still starts over the supposedly #1 draft pick. JMO, I'd take MJD any day.

Bush needs a back in front of him to compliment him, otherwise he's screwed. USC did it and Reggie was a beast, now he doesn't have a good enough back to help him.

MoJo is the better NFL back. He runs between the tackles, gets low, and bangs it up field. I'll take MoJo any day over Bush if it's an NFL team. But if it's a college level team, I'll take Bush, he's more explosive.

What!? does the name Deuce McAllister ring a bell? remember Bush's rookie season? he was a beast the 2nd half of the year. you are definitly right, bush needs a back in front of him, but saying he doesnt have a good one is crazy. if deuce stays healthy he really is one of the best in the league

Giant if. Deuce is old and injury prone now, which is why I say he's not a "good" one per say. He can't run like he did a couple years ago, he's wearing down. MoJo has F Taylor, and as old as he is, he still breaks off huge ones time to time.

Saying that Fred Taylor is a better complement to MJD than Deuce is to Bush because Deuce is injury prone is pretty funny.

F Taylor still produces more than Deuce...

My point is they've both missed significant time in their career. Thus saying that Deuce is injury prone while overlooking the fact that Taylor's played 127/160 games in his career is funny. Deuce has played in 84/112. Roughly the same %. Neither is reliable at this point.
