Wish that they'd have done that sooner as I think bently is a better pick up at center then the guy the Buccs picked up...

I think it's dumb they should have released him sooner than this. Paying him money just to get knee surgeries. They could have used the money in cap room to maybe have signed someone like Asante Samuel or aquire some depth somewhere. I think it's BS Bentley all about ready to wear he Brown and Orange then a day later he wants to be released. There was no one I'd rather see wear a Browns jersey than him. He was so excited to come back this season but he didn't think he would start so he wanted out what a great way to show your true self to your hometown team, a team he's been wanted to play for since he first stepped on a football field and then doesn't even try to take the starting spot he think's he deserves. I was reading an article in The Plain Dealer today and Bentley said "I sat in our meeting room and I didn't see any Dermontti Dawsons or Larry Allens", "They're all good players here, but there was no one out there I couldn't be better than." He needs to look up the meaning of character. He has none what so ever he totally blew the Browns off Mr. Hometown Hero, and does nothing but give us headaches.

If he thought he was a better he should have stayed and try to beat them out and instead of acting like a child and wanting to leave.

It's a lot of things. He's pissed that the Browns cut his salary to the leage minimum. He's pissed about how the Browns put in on IR so quickly last year. He's pissed about the treatment he got from the Browns team doctors. He's pissed that he was put to the bottom of the depth chart.

I wish the guy well. It's a shame the Browns couldn't even trade him, but it was for the best to cut him loose and move on.

First, would you want to keep paying him while he's hurt? Second, He just had his 4th and final surgery not to long ago so where else can you put someone that needs surgery? Staph Infection doesn't come from doctor's. Last, Crennel said he had the same shot everyone else had. When you've got a good player, they seem to get in there," Crennel said. "We were on schedule to find out where he was as a player. If he would have been a good player, we would have worked him in."(From The Cleveland Plain Dealer)

I'm a Plain Dealer subscriber. Everything I posted came from their articles they've printed over this whole saga.

I don't think there's a right or wrong side here, but I thought it was worth sharing Bentley's side to those who aren't Browns fans and probably don't know.

Well Idk if anyone listens to Sirius NFL radio but I was listening to it yesterday and someone called in about LeCharles and they went back and forth talking about him and finally one of the guys brought up a good point that I kinda threw out the window at first. He said Bentley was looking for a Kellen Winslow type situation where they waited out his surgeries/injury, and then he came in and basically was the starter as soon as he stepped on the field for camp. Which isn't entirely true because K2 proved the starting spot was his. If you think about it what was there for Bentley not to like in Cleveland? My opinion is if he is better than Larry Allen like he says why not prove it? K2 knew no other team would take a chance on him and that's why he kept his mouth shut before he came back and then proved he could play. Why couldn't Bentley do that?

Because Bentley knows another team will take a chance on him. He was on the final year of a deal paying him league minimum. Now, he'll get a chance to sign a multi-year deal for more money. He'll also probably have an easier time winning a starting job.

I don't know. The Browns have one of the better offensive lines in the league. Winning the starting job here is not easy. He can go to lots of other teams and have a better shot.

I can agree to that point, but seriously I honestly think he would have started, maybe not the first game but def. would have started.

I think is a great decision and should've happened sooner.
