Browns wins 2008-2009
This year I think the Cleveland will win ten games at least. If Derek Anderson repeats what he did last year and there improved defense works they could be in for contending a divisional spot.

The Browns will sneak up on no one this year, Anderson's last 7 games in 07' had a passer rating of 77 (poor). The NFL has found out how to defend the Anderson passing game.
Cleveland's D remains suspect, Williams was a great pick up, while Rogers plays 1/4 plays and is overweight and lazy, the secondary gave away their best DB, and remains a very weak spot for the team. In a division with Palmer and Big Ben, they must find a way to sure the secondary and fast. Cleveland has essentially no draft, and with a difficult schedule full of primetime and 4:00 games this team is not ready for the playoffs and finishes 9-7 at best. Do not be surprised if Quinn finishes the year.

The NFL list Shaun Rogers at 380 and Crennel say that he is 50 pounds less than that since coming to Cleveland. We did give away our best DB but can you tell me about Daven Holly or even Brandon McDonald because against Andre Johnson, McDonald looked like a vet.

The Browns could easily disappoint this year. The media is already championing them as the team to beat and all these primetime games with big expectations could be their unraveling. Every year they pick an unexpected team to emerge amongst their division but if history plays its part, that team is the Ravens and not the Browns.
Don’t get me wrong, I like what Savage and Crennel are doing in Cleveland but the Browns are looking at a tough schedule and the defense has not been battled tested yet. On paper it looks eye pleasing but in reality it is still a question mark. A 6-7 win season is not out of the ordinary by any stretch of the imagination. |

If we get some depth we will be good Eric Wright is good. I think Brandon McDonald can hold it down for Leigh Bodden just like he did last year against the Texans and Andre Johnson was the reciever he was covering. So I don't think we'll be that bad we just need depth. Sure I'll take a starting CB but do I think we'll be horrible without it no. I think McDonald will be just fine.

I'm predicting a 6-10 record for the Browns.
They only won 1 game against a team with a winning record last year, and that was in OT against the Seahawks. Teams will have a year of film to watch on DA, and he performed terribly against quality opponents. As well last year, they avoided big injuries, which is hard to do in the NFL, and I don't see them being able to do it for a second year in a row. Couple that with the harder schedule and more film to study, I see a disappointing 6-10 season. |
